Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Justage eines optischen Drehübertragers mit zwei zueinander um eine Drehachse werdrehbaren Einheiten, die je einen koaxialen Kollimator zur Lichtein- und Lichtauskoppelung haben, sowie einen mittels des Verfahrens justierbaren optischen Drehübertrager. Zur Justage wird mittels zweier Detektoren in unterschiedlichen Abständen die Abweichung des Lichtstrahls von der Drehachse ermittelt und daraus die Positionsabweichung sowie die Verkippung des Strahls errechnet und entsprechend kompensiert.

Auskopplung in den Lichtleiter, welcher an der zweiten Einheit angeordnet ist und gegenüber dem Mittel zur Lichtleitung beweglich ist. Um eine hohe Übertragungsbandbreite zu erreichen, ist ein steuerbarer Absorber im Lichtleiter vorgesehen, welcher eine Ausbreitung des Lichtes auf mehreren Wegen zwischen den beiden Einheiten verhindert.
