摘要:
A stencil stamp assembly embodying the invention has a comparatively small size, high ink holding capacity, excellent stamping durability and is capable of stamping images having a high print quality. The stencil stamp includes a handgrip (2) and a stencil stamp assembly (4). The stencil stamp assembly includes an ink bearing member (27) covered with a thermal stencil sheet (28). The thermal stencil sheet has a plurality of pores on holes arranged in a pattern. During a stamping action, ink from the ink bearing member is forced through the pores in the stencil sheet and onto a recording sheet to form a stamped image on the recording sheet. The ink bearing member has at least two layers (27A;27B) having difference densities. The less dense layer is in contact with the thermal stencil sheet. The least dense layer provides a large ink storage capacity. The more dense layer has a higher ink holding capacity, which reduces the potential for ink leakage. The more dense layer is also more firm, which reduces creasing and distortion of the stencil sheet both during stamping and during formation of the pore pattern in the stencil sheet.

A stamp unit includes a grip portion (2) to be grasped by a hand, a stamp portion (3) that is fixedly linked to the grip portion, a skirt member (6) covering the outer peripheral side of the stamp side, and a protection cap (7) that is freely detachably mounted on the stamp portion. The skirt member is upwardly and downwardly slidably supported. At its nonuse time, the lower end of the skirt member projects to a position lower than a print face portion of the stamp portion. However, by locating the stamp unit at a print position and pressing the grip portion, the skirt member is moved upwardly, and the print face portion of the stamp member is pressed against a print surface, whereby ink oozes out from the print face portion to perform the print operation. The stamp unit is further provided with plural engaging holes (37) formed at the lower portion of the grip member and plural engaging pawls (14) that are provided at the upper portion of the stamp member and elastically engaged with the respective engaging holes. The grip member and the stamp member are mutually detachably mounted to each other through the respective engaging holes and the respective engaging pawls.

A stencil producing apparatus for producing a stencil having a desired stencil image is provided with a storing unit for storing a plurality of image forming elements. The stencil producing apparatus is further provided with a selecting unit for selecting one of the plurality of image forming elements which corresponds to a desired stencil image. In the stencil producing apparatus, a perforating unit selectively perforates a blank stencil paper to form a hole corresponding to the selected image forming element, to thereby produce a stencil having the desired stencil image.

In a stamping device (12), a stamping stencil (20) is produced and used which does not require manual application of ink to the stencil (20). Data concerning an image, which may include character, figure and/or symbol data, is input by a input unit, a thermal head (16) generates heat on the basis of the data and transmits the heat to the thermal stencil paper (20) disposed at the printing position. As a result, a corresponding pattern of pores is produced, by the heat of the thermal head (16), in the thermal stencil paper (20). Ink is supplied to the pores by an ink supply unit (30) at an ink supplying position when pressure is applied to the back of the ink supply.

An apparatus for applying a mark to a substrate, the apparatus comprising a housing (10) for containing a reservoir of marker fluid, a marker fluid retaining nib (12) protruding from one end of the housing and drawing marker fluid from the reservoir, the nib having a marking surface (18,20) contoured by one or more recesses (14) or protrusions, whereby, when the marking surface (18,20) is applied to a substrate an uneven distribution of marker fluid is deposited from the nib (12) onto the substrate resulting in a non uniform mark.

Disclosed is a stamp head (1) for printing uneven surfaces, especially agricultural products such as poultry eggs, by means of screen printing. The stamp ink is stored in a tampon (5) within a stamp chamber (2) and is transferred to the egg surface with the aid of structures of a small coated screen printing plate (4). The stamp head (2) can be fastened to a stamp guiding assembly (7) via a stamp pressing element (10) such that an egg stamp (50) is created which can be vertically moved up and down on a stamp bar (18), the stamping process being carried out by means of the vertical movement. Several egg stamps (50) can be mounted on the stamp bar (18) such that a stamping apparatus is created which allows several eggs to be printed simultaneously.
