    摘要: In an assembly station, a carcass sleeve and an outer sleeve manufactured along respective building lines are mutually coupled. Integrated into the assembly station are engagement devices that can be alternatively-coupled to an auxiliary drum carrying an outer sleeve and to a building drum carrying a carcass sleeve. The building drum is engaged on the assembly station before removal of the auxiliary drum. A grip unit picks up the outer sleeve from the auxiliary drum associated with the engagement devices in order to position it around the carcass sleeve carried by the building drum.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for the construction of a radial tyre on a tyre construction machine comprising an expandable tyre carcass drum (9) having a cylindrical outer periphery and two bellows carriers (10) consisting of inflatable bellows (11). The inner soul (1) of the tyre and a carcass insert (2), which protrudes over the edges of the carcass drum (9) and is provided with projections, are placed on the carcass drum (9) and are spliced. Bead cores (3) with core profiles (4) are then positioned and the projections of the carcass insert (2) are impacted upon by inflating the bellows about the outer sides of the bead cores (3). Expandable bellows carriers (10) are provided. Said bellow carriers can be expanded for the placement and splicing of tyre components such that the outer surfaces of the bellows (11), together with the outer surface of the expanded carcass drum (9), essentially form a single cylindrical bearing surface.

In a vulcanisation mould (13) the building support (9) is submitted to an over-inflation step to press the tyre (2) against the inner walls of the mould (13). The circumferential edges (14a) of the inflatable bladder (14) are in engagement with respective anchoring flanges (15, 16) with possibility of movement in a radial direction, so as to be submitted to an elastic expansion during the over-inflation step.

At one end portion of the drum center shaft is provided a flange that is pressed by the cam rollers to the drive shaft side when the tubular member is displaced by tightening. Cutout portions are provided in the flange, and the cutout portions prevent the tubular body from interfering the cam rollers before the displacement by tightening occurs.
