Mixed pneumatic and airless wheel with increased safety, incorporating a flexible, substantially inextensible external annular band (1) which comes into contact with the ground. This band is joined, on its inside section, to separated radial elements (2) which are fixed, in a part intermediate to a rim (6), to an elastic wall surrounding a sealtight compartment (7), enclosing a gas or liquid under pressure. This innovation eliminates vertical roll, rebound effect on the wheel, phase and vibration frequency differences between radial elements and between the pneumatic and airless parts (all of which occur in current mixed wheels at high speeds), thus reducing wheel deformation and fuel consumption. The innovation maintains the advantages of less deformation on bends, better performance with water on the road, and safety in the event of pressure loss.
