    摘要： The apparatus applies glue on tubular cores (A) to be inserted into a rewinder for the winding of logs (L) of web material (N). It includes a conveyor (33) to feed the cores in succession and means (37) for distributing the glue on the cores. The distributing means are provided with a dispenser (41-47) having at least one opening (43) through which the glue is delivered substantially continuously. The conveyor (33) moves each core (A) over the opening (43) to bring the core in contact with the dispensed glue to cause the application of the glue to the core during its movement over the opening. A flexible plate (81) acting onto the core on its side opposite to the glue dispenser (41-47) prevents the core from rotating during glue application.

    摘要： A clamp is shown for holding a log of paper while a log-saw or cutting machine cuts shorter lengths of toilet-paper rolls or rolls of kitchen towels or similar all-purpose wipers from the log. The clamp is arranged adjacent a seat or support for the log as well as adjacent a cutting blade. The clamp includes, for each log seat, and on opposite sides of a cutting plane (T-T) through which the blade passes, a pair of adjustable and symmetrically arcuate strips (212, 214) secured to supports (207, 209). The strips are of flexible material with end portions which tend to spring outwardly. A strap (222) is anchored to a retention holder (224) and an adjustment holder (246). The strap surrounds the pair of strips (212, 214) and can change the arrangement thereof. A drive (240, 262, 218) simultaneously adjusts both the length of the strap (222) and the symmetrical angular orientations of two appendixes (228A; 228B) and, consequently, of two cradles (518) on which the strips are supported.

    摘要： An apparatus for glueing the trail of logs of web material includes a pair of endless conveyor members (13, 15) whose active branches (13A, 15A) are parallel, with one superimposed above the other and spaced apart to an extent corresponding to the diameter of the rolls or logs (R) and moving in the same direction whereby to move the log (R) forward. The upper active branch (15A) extends further than the lower active branch (13A) . Unwind mechanism (31) for unwinding the tail (L) of the material of the log (R) is located upstream of the lower endless conveyor member (13) and controlled by an optical sensor (39) which checks the length of said tail. Downstream of the lower endless conveyor member (13) a glue dispenser (58) dispenses glue from below onto the outer surface of the log (R). A subsequent rewinding station (RR,27,62) is located downstream of the lower continuous conveyor member (13).
