    摘要: An isolation container (100) with a downhole electric pump assembly has an annular housing with an axial inlet and outlet. The pump (104) is located within the container. The assembly includes an electric pump (108) positioned above and coupled to a seal section (107), above and coupled to a centrifugal pump, thereby powering the centrifugal pump. A blind coupling (102) above the electric motor connects to a tubular member and extends through the inlet of the isolation container. The tubular connects to tubing (26) supplying fluid from the surface. The blind coupling has a plurality of radially disposed ports (116) to allow pressurised fluid from the surface into the annulus (118) between pump and container. This fluid flows to pump inlet ports (120). The fluid is discharged through a tubular member (36), which extends through a packer (38) below the container and is injected into the subsurface. A cable (44) from surface supplies power and a check valve (110) releases entrained air from the container.

    摘要: A method for restarting a motor of a submersible pump after a power interruption is disclosed. The system first detects when the power is turned back on to the system. A control means then samples signals sent back from the unpowered motor and determines the frequency and phase sequence of the signals. The speed and direction of operation of the motor are then determined from the determined frequency and phase sequence. A first pulse width modulation waveform is then applied to the motor matching the determined speed and direction of the motor. Finally, the output frequency of the waveform can be adjusted to adjust the speed and direction of operation of the motor until the motor reaches a desired speed and direction of operation.
