The electronic device may include a display including a front surface area and a side surface area disposed in at least one side of the front surface area, a first sensor included under the side surface area and configured to sense pressure applied to the side surface area; and a processor operatively connected with the display and the first sensor. The processor may be configured to determine a position of at least one point of the side surface area corresponding to the sensed pressure, if the sensed pressure using the first sensor is within a first specified range, and to display at least one graphic object on an area corresponding to the determined position.

摘要: A method of detecting a user input includes sensing one or more touch events at a device. In some embodiments, a method includes sensing a first touch event via a first housing of a device. The method also includes generating a first detection signal based on the first touch event. The method also includes sensing a second touch event via a second housing of the device, the second housing conductively isolated from the first housing. The method also includes generating a second detection signal based on the second touch event. The method also includes classifying, based on the first detection signal and the second detection signal, the first touch event as user input. The method also includes identifying one or more actions based on the classification of the first touch event as the user input, the one or more actions associated with the user input.

摘要: An apparatus includes a sensor array with a plurality of active pixels. Each active pixel in the sensor array includes: a three transistor (3T) sensor with a source follower transistor, and a detection diode coupled in series to a parasitic capacitor at a sensing junction. A gate of the source follower transistor amplifier is coupled to the sensing junction. The apparatus includes an insulator layer over the sensor array. The insulator layer provides a variable capacitance to the sensing junctions of underlying active pixels in response to portions of an object being proximate to the insulator layer. The variable capacitance is used to detect an image of the object.

摘要: A sensor unit 11 generates a sensor signal according to proximity and contact of a manipulation object. A proximity detecting unit 12 performs proximity detection of the manipulation object, on the basis of the sensor signal. When a plurality of manipulation objects are detected by the proximity detection, a determining unit 13 sets a priority order to the detected manipulation objects and adopts a proximity detection result on the basis of the set priority order. For this reason, even though the plurality of manipulation objects are detected, the proximity detection result having the high priority order is adopted, so that erroneous detection can be prevented and an input manipulation can be correctly performed.

The sensor may also include conductive elements arranged and connected for touch sensing. The conductive elements may be connected to an alternating-current (AC) source. Another sensor comprises one or more conductive elements arranged and connected for touch sensing by detecting resistivity changes in the one or more conductive elements. A flexible and transparent sensor is also provided, which comprises a layer of a piezoelectric polymer and conductive elements in contact with the layer for transmitting an electric signal generated by compression of the layer. Methods and processes for using such sensors are also provided.

摘要: A display device and a method for driving the same are provided by the present disclosure. The display device includes a display panel and a touch panel. The method includes: applying a horizontal synchronizing signal to a plurality of scanning lines of the display panel; and applying a touch driving signal to a plurality of touch driving signal lines of the touch panel; an orthographic projection of the scanning line receiving the horizontal synchronizing signal onto the display panel does not overlap an orthographic projection of the touch driving signal line receiving the touch driving signal onto the display panel at least within a predetermined time period. When the display device displays images within the predetermined time period, the scanning line receiving the horizontal synchronizing signal and the touch driving signal line receiving the touch driving signal are staggered, so capacitive coupling may hardly be generated between them, thereby a signal-noise ratio of the touch panel within the predetermined time period may be improved.

The touch sensor has a trace carrier having a sensing surface, a connecting surface, and a number of electrically conductive traces on the trace carrier. The traces form a sensing pattern on the sensing surface and pass from the sensing surface to the connecting surface. The sensor also includes a capacitive sensing circuit operable to electrically couple to the traces at the connecting surface of the trace carrier, and to sense a capacitance change. A touch position on the sensing surface is determined dependent upon the sensed capacitance change.

The display device includes a display panel (110), a contact sensitive device (120) on the display panel, and a linear polarizer (130) on the contact sensitive device. The contact sensitive device (120) includes an electro-active layer (122) which may be uniaxially elongated and configured to retard a phase of incident light. Since the display device (100) includes the contact sensitive device (120) having the electro-active layer (122) configured to retard the phase of the incident light, a separate phase retardation film for suppressing external light reflection may be omitted. As a result, the thickness of the display device (100) may be decreased and manufacturing cost of the display device (100) may be reduced.
