The invention relates to a tool holder which can be used in machine tools and comprises a base body which can rotate around a rotational axis. The tool holder also comprises cutter holders that hold a cutting plate respectively and can be radially adjusted by means of an axially displaceable control rod and coupling means. The aim of the invention is to improve said tool holder in such a way that a puncture can be produced within a very short time. Said puncture meets high demands on the surface structure and the geometrical roundness. The tool holder is provided with at least two cutter holders that can be radially adjusted between a retracted and an extended position. The cutters of the cutter holders can be simultaneously engaged with the workpiece for producing a puncture.
