摘要： A strip (10) for attaching a document to a binder without punching openings in the document or for reinforcing a document around openings formed in the document through which the document can be mounted in a binder. The strip (10) comprises an elongate layer (11) of thin flexible material, and a coating of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive (20) on one major surface (12) along an inner edge portion. That layer is free of adhesive on both of its side surfaces along an outer edge portion. That outer edge portion is visually distinctive, and the juncture between the inner and outer portions is straight and visibly distinctive. The strip (10) has at least one opening through its outer edge portion adapted to receive a portion of a binder so that a document to which the coating of adhesive (20) along its inner edge portion is adhered with the edge of the document along the juncture between the inner and outer portions can be bound in the binder without punching the document, or, alternatively, so that a punched document having a through opening by which the document is bound in a binder can be reinforced by adhering the coating of adhesive (20) to the document with the opening in the outer edge portion in alignment with the opening in the document.

摘要： A fastener (10) suitable for clipping together sheet material comprises two flat plastics members (11,12) of generally corresponding shape. The two members are connected along corresponding edges by a hinge (13) which tends to urge the two members apart. One member (11) carries a stud (15) which is engageable with a snap action in a hole (20) provided in the other member (12) to fasten the member together. In use, the stud (15) is pushed from one side through the sheets of paper to be held together to engage with the hole (20) on the other side, so fastening the sheets together, the paper penetrated by this stud (15) being pushed between the stud (15) and the hole (20) to lock them together. The stud (15) and the hole (20) can be disengaged to allow re-use of the fastener.

摘要： A file reinforcement used to reinforce the edges of a hole in a document is formed of sheet plastics material. The inner edge 12, which is aligned with the hole in the document, and the outer edge 11, which defines the periphery of the reinforcement, are both formed with an increased thickness compared to the remainder of the reinforcement. The increased thickness edges of the reinforcement are formed by the application of heat and high frequency welding radiation. This increased thickness provides added resistance to tearing where it is needed most. There is also disclosed a file reinforcement which is polygonal rather than the conventional circular shape, and the preferred shape is square.
