The invention relates to a hydrocyclone arrangement comprising an inflow (6) of the feed pulp (1), an overflow (11) and an underflow (13), whereby the inflow (6) is fed into a holding chamber (5) by a pump (3). The overflow (11) is led into a collecting chamber (7), and a free outflow is provided for the underflow (13). According to the invention the sealing ring is made of an inexpensive chemical resistant material and is radially cut through to form two free ends on the sealing ring. The hydrocyclone body is provided with a sealing surface (12) having a radial extension which increases along the hydrocyclone body. Axially along the sealing surface (12) a projection (22) extends between the free ends of the sealing ring. When mounting the hydrocyclone body the sealing ring (18) is adapted to be entrained by the wall (5) along the sealing surface (12), so that the sealing ring is expanded and seals between the sealing surface and the wall.

Bei herkömmlichen Anordnungen von Zentrifugalabscheidern zum Abscheiden von Flüssigkeitstropfen ist zur Regelung des Volumenstroms vorgesehen, daß der Querschnitt einer für den maximalen Gesamtvolumenstrom ausgelegten Rohrleitung entsprechend verkleinert wird. Um die hiermit verbundenen negativen Aspekte, wie Zerstäubung der abzuscheidenden Flüssigkeit und Verringerung der Flußgeschwindigkeiten des zu reinigenden Gases zu verhindern, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, den Zentrifugalabscheider (40) mit mehreren Eingangsöffnungen (31a-d,33) auszustatten, die vollständig geöffnet oder verschlossen werden können. Eine Öffnung (33) ist mit einem kontinuierlich einstellbaren Absperrorgan (32) verbunden, so daß durch eine entsprechende Kombination freigeschalteter und einer teilweise freigeschalteten Leitung bzw. Eingangsöffnung beliebige Teilvolumenströme realisiert werden können, ohne daß die eingangs erwähnten nachteiligen Effekte auftreten.
