Said pulsation damper comprises an inlet connection element (2), an outlet connection element (3) and a line (7, 7a) connecting said elements whereby said three components are connected to at least two damper chambers (5, 6) inside the pulsation damper, said damper chamber being connected in a series inside the damper housing (4). One section of the line connected to the inlet connection element (2) comprises a connection channel (8) to a first damper chamber (5) and is joined to a second damper chamber (6) via an inlet throttle element (9). A damper (36) for use in a hydraulic actuator system between a master cylinder (10) and a slave cylinder (12) of the system. The damper includes a housing (44), an elastomeric diaphragm (46) and a spring steel diaphragm (48). The upper face (46c) of the elastomeric diaphragm (46) is in fluid communication with hydraulic fluid in the system via a port (52c) so that the elastomeric diaphragm may deflect in response to low frequency vibrations transmitted through hydraulic fluid in the system to effect damping of the low frequency vibrations. The spring steel diaphragm (48) is positioned in the system generally parallel to and proximate the lower face (46d) of the elastomeric diaphragm (46) so as to form a back up for the elastomeric diaphragm so that the elastomeric diaphragm may deform against the spring steel diaphragm in response to intermediate frequency vibrations transmitted through the hydraulic fluid to cause deflection of the spring steel diaphragm to effect damping of the intermediate frequency vibrations. A thin annular sidewall (52a) of the damper housing (44) coacts with the upper face (46c) of the elastomeric diaphragm (46) which provides further high frequency system damping by virtue of vibratory volumetric expansion of the thin housing sidewall (52a).

The present invention relates to a pulsation suppression device which is interposingly used in a liquid transporting pipe through which a chemical liquid such as a surface washing liquid for washing an IC is transported by a reciprocal pump. The pulsation suppression device of the invention has: a bellows (5) which partitions the interior of the device body (1) having a sealed container-like shape, into a liquid chamber (3) and an gas chamber (4); an operating rod (11) which is reciprocated in interlock relationship with the bellows (5); and an extension and contraction restricting mechanism (51) which, when the bellows (5) extends to a predetermined value, is contacted in parallel with a closed end face (5b) of the bellows, thereby restricting further extension of the bellows (5). Furthermore, the pulsation suppression device of the invention has a guide (21) for making the reciprocal operation of the operating rod (11) coincident with the extension and contraction directions of the bellows (5). The guide (21) is made of a low-friction resin material. According to the invention, pulsation due to the discharge pressure of the transported liquid is absorbed and the amplitude of pulsation is suppressed to a low level. According to the invention, moreover, the bellows (5) used in the pulsation suppression device is prevented from being damaged, and the pulsation suppression function can be stabilized.

Um die Reinheit einer Flüssigkeit, wie beispielsweise flüssigen Kohlendioxid für die Brauereiindustrie zu verbessern, umfaßt eine Vorrichtung (30) zum verwirbelungsarmen Einbringen der Flüssigkeit in einen Flüssigkeitsbehälter (10) einen ersten Strömungskörper (32), dessen Oberseite parallel zum Flüssigkeitsspiegel (12) in dessen Höhe (oder nahebei) verläuft bzw. zu allen Seiten im flachen Winkel in den Flüssigkeitsspiegel eintaucht; ferner steht die Vorrichtung mit einer Flüssigkeitszuleitung in Verbindung, die auf der Strömungskörperoberseite mündet. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß die zuzuführende Flüssigkeit in einem flachen Film über die Strömungskörperoberseite strömt und etwaige in Form von Mikrobläschen in der Flüssigkeit vorhandenes Gas (wie beispielsweise Sauerstoff) leicht zur Flüssigkeitsoberfläche gelangen und in die Gasatmosphäre oberhalb des Flüssigkeitsspiegels übertreten kann.
