摘要: Disclosed herein relates to a lithium secondary battery and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the lithium secondary battery has a high energy density by containing a silicon material as a negative electrode active material, and can not only lower an irreversible capacity loss that occurs due to the silicon material of a negative electrode during initial charging by having a polymer film derived from an electrolyte additive contained in an electrolyte composition provided on a positive electrode active layer, but also can improve the safety of the battery by suppressing gas generation during charging and discharging, so it can be usefully used as a power source for medium and large-sized devices such as electric vehicles.

This charging method can improve a polarization of the secondary battery and increase a cycle life of the secondary battery while satisfying a time demand of quick charge.
