摘要: The invention provides (meth)acrylic oligomers prepared from C1-C20 alkyl and C5-C20 cycloalkyl (meth)acrylates, wherein said oligomers have a Mn of about 300 g/mole to about 3,000 g/mole; a Mw of about 700 g/mole to about 6,000 g/mole; a Mz of about 900 g/mole to about 10,000 g/mole. The oligomers may have a Yellowness Index, according to ASTM E313 of less than 2. The oligomers of the invention are useful as tackifiers in adhesive compositions, but also are believed to be useful also in general polymer modification as plasticizers, leveling agents, viscosity reducers (i.e., rheology modifiers), and for increasing solids content in solvent-borne applications of all types with little detrimental impact on viscosity. The invention also provides adhesive compositions and laminate articles coated on at least one side with the adhesive compositions of the invention.

摘要: There is provided a copolyester containing residues of neopentyl glycol, 2,2,4,4-tetraalkyl 1,3-cyclobutanediol such as 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl 1,3-cyclobutanediol, tin atoms, aluminum atoms, an alkali or alkaline earth metal atoms such as lithium atoms, optionally phosphorus atoms, and having an It.V. of at least 0.55 dL/g, and Tg of at least 90° C. Such higher It.V. copolyesters can now be made having high Tg, good thermal stability, and higher insertion of 2,2,4,4-tetraalkyl 1,3-cyclobutanediol.

摘要: Disclosed are ternary polyester blends that contain at least one polyester comprising terephthalic or isophthalic acid, ethylene glycol, and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residues, and at least one polyester comprising terephthalic or isophthalic acid, 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol, and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residues. The ternary polyester blends have improved clarity, toughness, and fabrication characteristics and are useful for the preparation of flat or shaped articles. Of special interest are ternary blends where one of the three components compatibilizes the blend of two otherwise immiscible polyesters.

摘要: Degradable materials are provided that may be utilized in various wellbore treatment fluids, such as hydraulic fracturing fluids. In particular, the degradable materials can be formed from cellulose esters that are capable of effectively degrading at specific rates when exposed to the aqueous environments commonly found in wellbores. More particularly, the degradable materials can be in the form of degradable fibers that are formed from the cellulose esters described herein.
