When the upper cassette portion (19c) is pivoted to its open position, its end face (19h) slides along pin (62a) until the upper cassette portion (19c) rests on the last member (62). During further pivotal movement to the open position, the multiple-lever arrangement (60, 61, 62) is pivoted along and held by means of pin (62a) at the end surface (19h) of the upper cassette portion (19c). As a result, the air nozzle (70) is in its functional position at any opening angle of the pivotable upper cassette portion (19c). The air jet for releasing the film sheet (67) is directed approximately tangentially past the front edge (67a) of the film sheet (67) adhering to the inner surface of the film-sheet support (19i) of the upper cassette portion (19c).

A feeding chute (1) is removably arranged on a retainer (2) within the transport path (4), held by a resetting means (22) in its feeding position, and can be pivoted to its end position (11) lying outside the transport path (4) by means of a transport carriage (5) driven by a microprocessor-controlled stepper motor (40). Means (12) are arranged on feeding chute (1) forming part of the transport path (4) when the chute is in its end position. Retainer (2) includes a blocking element (20) which in the retainer's end position (21) and with the feeding chute (1) being removed projects into the transport path (4) and limits the travel of the transport carriage (5), resulting in a reduced stepping number of stepping motor (40) when returning the transport carriage (5) until a sensor (9) is reached in the area upstream of feeding chute (1). A control unit then shuts down a processing station (8), in particular the dumping of a used pipette (81) from aspirating head (80) and thus contamination of the substances to be analyzed or the analyzer itself is prevented.

The rollers (26, 32) form a channel (27) which is opened at the top and in which a sheet film (31) introduced into the sheet-film holder (12, 28) is guided on an arcuate path along the rollers (26, 32) only so that damage to the film is avoided.

The sheet-film reloading device (6) forms a single mobile unit and is provided with a sheet film holder (9), in the shape of an arc and disposed concentrically in relation to a motor axle (47) and with a suction device (8, 28) attached to said axle. The suction device (8, 28) is equipped with sensors controlling the suction and indicating the state of the magazine. The sheet-film reloading device (6) is also provided with a bifurcate photoelectric barrier (34h) which surrounds isolated sheets of film and identifies double sheets. The sheet-film reloading device (6) takes a sheet from a selected magazine (4) and places it into the sheet-film holder (9, 10). The whole device (6) is then moved to the level of the single-sheet cassette (5), where the sheet-film is loaded into the sheet-film cassette (5).
