摘要: The present invention relates to a stereo tube radiation imaging system in which radiation emitted from each radiation source covers a different area of the detector surface. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a stereo tube imaging method wherein both radiation sources are operated independently and each cover part of the detector surface area. This is advantageous in that it may reduce radiation dose compared to known stereo tube imaging and introduces new possibilities for stereo tube imaging, such as improved object tracking within a body.

摘要: The invention relates to an imaging system for imaging an object. Projection data of the object are acquired by using a radiation source emitting primary radiation (14) from a primary focal spot (15) and unwanted secondary radiation (16) from secondary focal spots (17). A first image of the object is reconstructed from the acquired projection data, a forward projection of the secondary radiation through the first image is simulated for generating secondary projection data, and a second image is generated based on the acquired projection data and the secondary projection data. Since the secondary projection data, which can generally cause image artifacts, are determined, the reconstruction unit can consider these unwanted secondary projection data while reconstructing the second image, in order to reduce the influence of the secondary projection data on the reconstructed second image, thereby improving the image quality.

摘要: The invention relates to a forward projection apparatus for performing a forward projection through an image (22), wherein at least one of a number of rays (20, 21) for performining the forward projection, a ray spacing between the rays and a kernel width of an interpolation kernel for calculating interpolated values located on the rays is varied depending on the ray width relative to an effective image element spacing between image elements (24) of the image. This allows reducing artifacts in simulated projection data and, thus, in an image, which is iteratively reconstructed by using the simulated projection data. For example, if the number of provided rays and/or the ray spacing between the provided rays is varied, aliasing artifacts can be reduced. Moreover, if the ray spacing between the provided rays and/or the kernel width of the interpolation kernel is varied, artifacts caused by varying effective kernel widths may be reduced.

摘要: A method is provided for processing images comprising retrieving measured data for a first image. The method then generates partially filtered data by applying a first filter to the measured data. The first filter is a generic filter. The method then reconstructs the partially filtered data to generate a partially filtered image. The method then generates a partially processed image by applying a first processing routine to the partially filtered image. The method then generates a filtered image by applying a second filter to the partially processed image, where the second filter is a filter selected from a plurality of potential secondary filters. The method then outputs the filtered image. Systems are provided for implementing the claimed method and training methods for neural networks used in the method are provided as well.

摘要: Concepts for analyzing a phase-contrast X-ray image by identifying and classifying atypical pixels using a DAX value and attenuation value of each pixel of an image of the subject are proposed. In particular, atypical pixels can be identified by their ratio value, which is based on the DAX value and attenuation value. Such atypical pixels may then be further classified based on the DAX value and attenuation value. Using this concept, the diagnosis and quantification of regions of a subject exhibiting a disorder may be aided.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a medical system (100) comprising at least one data processing unit (111, 121, 130), a mechanical ventilator (110), configured to be operated to cause a ventilation status at a to-be-ventilated subject, and a medical imaging device (120), configured as a mobile device. The data processing unit (111, 121, 130) is configured to obtain, from the mechanical ventilator (110), ventilation status information associated with the ventilation status of the to-be-ventilated subject. Further, the data processing unit (111, 121, 130) is further configured to trigger acquisition of a first image if the ventilation status meets a first image acquisition criterion. Furthermore, the data processing unit (111, 121, 130) is further configured to trigger acquisition of at least one subsequent, further image if the ventilation status meets a second image acquisition criterion.
