It is described a method for coordinating a first radio resource partitioning scheme (115) being used by a first base station (BS1) and by a first relay node (RN1) being served by the first base station with a second radio resource partitioning scheme (125) being used by a second base station (BS2) and by a second relay node (RN2) being served by the second base station. The described method comprises acquiring an information from the second base station by the first base station, wherein the information is indicative for a relative timing displacement between (a) a first time pattern of the first radio resource partitioning scheme and (b) a second time pattern of the second radio resource partitioning scheme. The method further comprises adapting the first time pattern of the first radio resource partitioning scheme, which is used by the first relay node, to the second time pattern of the second radio resource partitioning scheme, which is used by the second relay node, in such a manner that Time Transmission Intervals (TTIs) of the first time pattern which one used for uplink radio transmissions coincide with TTIs of the second time pattern which one used for uplink radio transmissions. It is further described a corresponding first base station, which is adapted for controlling and/or for carrying out the above described method.

The invention describes method and an arrangement for transmitting an orthogonal frequency diversity multiplex signal via an optical filter. OFDM channels (CG1,CGq) located near an edge of an OFDM spectrum are copied and shifted to an opposite edge of the OFDM spectrum (CCq,CC1)and transmitted via the optical filter. At the receiver symbols are derived from original (CG1, CGq) and the copied OFDM channels (CCq, CC1). Then the symbols having a better signal quality are elected for further processing.

There is proposed a mechanism providing functions of a so- called hybrid home node B (HHNB) where subscribers, depending on their belonging to a specific subscriber group, such as a closed subscriber group or an open subscriber group, are admitted for a connection to the communication network via different connection routes and systems. After a request for connecting a subscriber is received, an identification process is performed whether the subscriber belongs to a first subscriber group (CSG) or to a second subscriber group (OSG). On the basis of this identification, the subscriber is assigned to a first connection route or a second connection route. It is then checked whether available resources on the assigned connection route are sufficient, wherein on the basis of this check the request for connecting is allowed or rejected.
