摘要： A non-directional tile (1) is obtained by surface applying and consolidating a relatively thin, non-porous, multi-colored, resin particulate (3) decorative layer (2) onto a backing layer (4). The non-directionality is the result of the proper selection of resin particle size distribution and the use of contrasting colors. The result is a tile that an ordinary observer cannot discern the machine direction and a tile floor having seams that are indiscernible by an ordinary observer.

摘要： Systems and methods for finishing top surfaces of concrete filled access floor panels include the application of at least one material to a top surface of an access floor panel. The top surface may be prepared by grinding and cleaning prior to application of material. Stains, primers, concretes, epoxies, polyurethanes, clear coats, or other finishing materials may be applied to create a plurality of layers on the surface of the floor panel, producing different aesthetically pleasing, or well performing finished surfaces. After application, the materials may be subjected to infrared light, ultraviolet light, or forced air to accelerate drying or curing. The materials may be applied, dried, and cured in an automated production line while the floor panel moves along a conveyor.

The glue exerts a relatively strong adhesive force on the sheet (4) and a weaker adhesive force on the tesserae (2a), in such a way that the connection between tesserae and sheet will resist the detachment stresses due to the weight of the tesserae that occur during the normal operations of handling the panel before it is installed, and also such that when the panel has been installed and the sheet (4) is removed, the glue remains attached to the sheet (4). The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out this method and the panels obtained thereby.

This top layer assembly includes, in descending superimposed relationship, a decorative layer and a core layer that includes PETG, or other polymeric material. Preferably, the top layer assembly also includes a wear resistant overlay layer on top of the decorative layer, and the core layer's PETG is in a sheet form. The top layer assembly may be directly bonded to a water resistant substrate. The decorative laminate assembly of the present invention can be used for a variety of purposes, including flooring applications. When the present invention is used for flooring applications, it is preferred that the overlay layer has enhanced wear resistant qualities and that the water resistant substrate comprise PVC or cement fiberboard.
