The invention relates to a track system (10) for amusement rides with truss-like track elements (1) which consist of at least one triangular girder system and comprise, as first and second girder element, tracks (2, 3) extending alongside each other and at least one further girder element (4.1), wherein a first stiffening plane (A1) is formed by the tracks (2, 3) and crossbeams (5, 5.1) connecting these tracks (2, 3), and a second and a third stiffening plane (A2, A3) are formed by in each case one track (2, 3) and transverse struts (6, 6.1) connecting same to the at least third girder element (4.1), and, in order to form track sections (1.1,..., 1.7), the crossbeams (5, 5.1) and transverse struts (6) are arranged spaced apart. According to the invention, provision is made that at least one track section (1.1, 1.2, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7) formed by adjacent crossbeams (5, 5.1) with associated transverse struts (6, 6.1) is designed with a stiffening element (7.3) which spans the track section (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7) in such a way that a fourth stiffening plane (A4) is formed by the stiffening element (7.3) together with the further girder element (4.1) of the track section (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7).

The fluid impact surfaces being at an angle to an intended direction of motion of the vehicle. The fluid impact surfaces are adapted to affect motion of the vehicle when the fluid impact surfaces are impacted by a fluid.

A roller coaster track may comprise a laminate and a metal bearing layer. A method of manufacturing a roller coaster track may comprise manufacturing a laminate, manufacturing a metal bearing layer, and assembling the laminate and bearing layer. The bearing layer may be at least partially filled with grout. A method of repairing a wood roller coaster track may comprise removing a layer of laminate, and replacing the layer with a metal bearing layer.

Ein erfindungsgemäßes Transportsystem 1 umfasst Schienen 2a, 2b zur schienengebundenen Bewegung eines Fahrzeugs 3 entlang der Fahrstrecke 2. Das Fahrzeug 3 weist eine Einrichtung zur Erzeugung einer Antriebs-und/oder Bremskraft 33 und ein Zahnrad 34 auf, das in eine stationär an der Fahrstrecke 2 angeordnete Verzahnung 20 eingreift, sodass eine formschlüssige Kraftübertragung stattfindet. Die Einrichtung 33 zur Erzeugung einer Antriebs-und/oder Bremskraft kann durch einen oder mehrere Fahrzeuginsassen mittels einer Betätigungseinrichtung 35, 350 interaktiv gesteuert werden.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating an amusement park ride track utilizing stock, planar materials, namely comprising of creating elongated, curved structures from planar materials. A roller coaster track capable of being fabricated from multiple planar pieces without heating or bending. Other embodiments are described which utilize elongated, curved structures such as ski lifts, people movers, staircases and architectural structures. A jig is disclosed for providing for ease of manufacture of the elongated, curved structures.
