摘要: The invention relates to a method and a software product for controlling percussive rock drilling, and further to a rock drilling rig to which the method is applied. The invention comprises monitoring the rotation resistance, the aim being to keep it below a desired reference value. To adjust the rotation resistance, successive control actions may be carried out, such as decreasing the feed force, decreasing the percussion power and stopping the feed. Control actions are started once a limit set for the control has been exceeded. At least one limit is a time limit determining the time difference between two successive control functions.

摘要: The present invention resides in a computer-implemented method for wellbore construction management, comprising storing a set of wellbore policies and procedures set by a wellbore operator, the policies defining limits relating to wellbore operating parameters and/or guidance in response to incidents encountered during drilling that fall outside expected operating conditions; generating a set of procedures defining construction of the wellbore according to an initial well plan, the set of procedures including drilling operating parameters to be used at any point along the wellbore to be drilled; calculating a set of well states from the initial well plan and the generated set of procedures, the set of well states comprising predetermined parameters of the wellbore expected to exist at each of a plurality of depths of the wellbore being drilled; receiving from the wellbore at least one drilling operating parameter measured at a particular depth during drilling; determining at least one well state parameter from the measured drilling operating parameter; calculating a difference between the at least one calculated well state parameter and the corresponding predetermined well state parameter for the particular depth of the wellbore, when the difference exceeds a selected threshold, generating a modified well plan and a new set of procedures defining construction of at least part of the wellbore to the modified well plan; determining that the modified well plan and the new set of procedures is compliant with the stored wellbore policies and procedures set by the wellbore operator; and communicating the modified well plan to a plurality of users.

摘要: METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DRILLING A method of controlling a direction of drilling of the drill string (110) used to form an opening in a subsurface formation (102), comprises varying a speed of the drill string during rotational drilling such that the drill string (110) is at a first speed during a first portion of the rotational cycle and at a second speed during a second portion of the rotational cycle wherein the first speed is higher than the second speed, and wherein operating at the second speed in the second portion of the rotational cycle causes the drill string to change the direction of drilling.
