A foam liner is provided to surround the hard drive. The drive and liner are encapsulated in the container, which is secured, using press fit projections. The package may then be mounted to a commercial type video game machine.

    a case provided with a disc loading slot through which a disc for the recording/playback of digital information can be inserted;
    stocker means disposed on the side of the disc loading slot that is inside the disc unit, provided with a disc holding compartment stack consisting of at least one disc holding compartment, the disc holding compartment stack being oriented perpendicular to the main faces of a disc inserted through the disc loading slot;
    disc holder means disposed between the disc loading slot and the stocker means, which pulls discs inserted through the disc loading slot and discs stocked in the disc holding compartments of the stocker means into itself;
    recording/playback means for performing recording/playback operations on a disc that has been pulled into the disc holder means;
    first positioning means for positioning the disc holder means and the stocker means relative to each other in such a way that the disc holder means faces the disc holding compartments of the stocker means; and
    second positioning means for positioning the disc holder means and the recording/playback means relative to each other in such a way that a disc that has been pulled into the disc holder means is loaded onto the recording/playback means.

    摘要： A disc drive is constructed from a main body which includes a mechanism unit having a disc rotating mechanism for rotating a disc and a play back mechanism for playing back information recorded on the disc, disc tray movably provided with respect to the main body for supporting a disc and a casing for housing the main body. The disc drive is provided with vibration absorbing members for suppressing transmission of vibration caused by high speed rotation of the disc from the main body to the casing. The vibration absorbing members are formed of elastical members and they are arranged between the side portions of the main body and the inside of the casing, thereby the main body is supported by the casing through the vibration absorbing members to prevent vibrations caused in the main body from being transmitted to the casing. Further, the casing has a U-shaped side plate and a top plate fixed to the side plate by screws, in which the top plate is in point contact with the side plate through a plurality of protrusions formed on upper edges of the side plate. This point contact between the top plate and the side plate makes it possible to prevent rattling from being caused by the transmitted vibrations, thereby preventing generation of noise.

    摘要： A stocker (21) can accommodate a recording medium, while reproduction means reproduces the information stored in the recording medium. First transfer means (31) serves to transfer the recording medium from within the stocker to the outside of the device and vice versa. Second transfer means serves to transfer the recording medium within the stocker to a reproduction site and vice versa. The device comprises positioning means for determining the height of the recording medium relative to the first or second transfer means and an open/close key for protruding the recording medium from the device or housing the recording medium in the device. Upon operation of the open/close key, the recording medium is housed in the stocker if the recording medium is in a state of protrusion from the device, while if the recording medium is in a state of being housed in the stocker, the recording medium is protruded from the casing, or the reproduction is stopped and the recording medium is then protruded from the device when the recording medium is in a state of reproduction of information.
