A vibration proofing mechanism whose springs are not required to be newly extended when the mounting position of an apparatus using the mechanism is changed. Two types of vibration proofing springs (3,4) extend between the cabinet (2) of the apparatus and a floating chassis (1) in different directions. A displacement adjusting spring (7) extends between a spring latch (6) movably supported by the cabinet and the floating chassis. The displacement adjusting spring corrects the displacement of the floating chassis relative to the cabinet caused by the force acting to the vibration proofing springs in the direction different from the direction of gravitational force.

An elongated hole of a third arm with a pin engageable with an elongated hole formed in a chassis couples with a pin mounted on a second arm. As a large diameter disk is loaded, the motion of the second arm is transmitted via the third arm to a slider. As a small diameter disk is loaded, the small diameter disk pushes a pin mounted on the third arm to rotate the third arm. The motion of the third arm is transmitted to the slider. The motion of the slider activates a power transmission mechanism which transmits power of the loading motor to a disk clamping mechanism and a driving mechanism for driving a loading roller supporting lever.
