The operating system includes a first drive section (164) with an input, a second drive section (165) with an output, and a control mechanism (110) arranged to selectively lock an element of the first and second drive sections to control movement of the output of the operating system (100) upon actuation of the input. A shift lock (500) is is able to restrict shifting operation of the operating system (100) from one operating mode to another.

The present invention relates to a cost effective, easily operable, and highly adaptable locking system for fire-retardant shutters. In particular, the invention concerns a system for locking a shutter or a mechanism that opens or closes a fire shutter, said system comprising at least two movable plates (100,200) coupled together by means of a magnet (201), and an actuation member (320,302), such as a pawl or a pin, coupled to either of the plates. The first plate (100) is responsive to tension or pressure that builds in said mechanism for opening or closing the shutter, and moves in response to said tension or pressure thus causing the movement of the magnetically coupled thereto second plate (200) and of the actuation member (320,302) coupled to the latter.

The subject of the application is an external roller blind equipped with a blocking mechanism, preventing the opening of the blind by lifting the slats up. The external roller blind is equipped with a set of perpendicularly jointed profile slats ( 1 ) sliding in guides (3,3'). A turning semi-circular hanger ( 6 ) of the lower profile slat ( 7 ) is placed in the socket ( 4 ) of the profile slat ( 5 ), equipped with opposite rectangular intrusions ( 8 ), ( 8 ') in the sliding guides ( 3 ), ( 3 ') area for the rotary and adjustable mounted pawls ( 9 ) and ( 9 '). The profile slat (7) has a lower ( 11 ) and upper ( 10 ) chamber divided by a crosswise reinforcement ( 12 ) inside of which there is a round passage ( 13 ) for a pin ( 14 ) of the pawl ( 9 ) and ( 9 ' ) and a spring ( 15 ), while the lower chamber includes a trapezoid ending ( 16 ) of the lower slat ( 17 ) reinforced by a flat ( 18 ).
