The present invention relates to a method for providing a sterile connected device, especially of sensitive material, such as material not compatible with sterilization by gamma irradiation. The method comprises providing connectors and a tubing in an autoclave bag, and autoclaving the sealed autoclave bag containing the connectors and tubing for sterilization. Optionally, the connectors and tubing are assembled prior to autoclave. Also provided are sterile, connected devices sterilized according to the present method.

A method and a system for sterilizing a food packaging container or a food filling system, comprising a medicine sterilization process where a disinfectant aqueous solution containing a chlorine based disinfectant containing hypochlorous acid and a pH regulator is touched to the surface of the food packaging container or the line piping, apparatus of the food filling system or the surface in a room, and a heating sterilization process where surface temperature of an object is raised, wherein these processes are performed simultaneously or separately. A specified sterilization power is exhibited over a wide range of bacteria, handling is simplified, processed surface is not corroded over a long term, stench is eliminated and no special treatment of waste liquid is required.

Individual processing and client devices communicate via a computer network. The client devices such as desktop computers terminals, hand-held devices and/or process devices such as sterilizers, autoclaves, washing and/or disinfection devices are distributed among a health care facility more specifically disinfection and/or sterilization facilities that require processing of surgical instruments. The network server exchanges a variety of information with client devices as well as disinfection and/or sterilization equipment. In response to information from equipment and/or client devices, the network server may trigger decision messages to equipment and/or client devices, as well as generate reports for record keeping or maintenance purposes. The information distributed by the network server may pertain to the operation, maintenance and control of disinfection and sterilization equipment, characteristics and capabilities of instruments, and expert technical advice. The information received from the health care facilities includes requests for information, and process information documenting procedures performed within a health care, disinfection and/or sterilization facility.

The invention refers to a method of aseptically storing a bulk sterile product in stationary storing tanks or containers designed for transportation by road, fluvial and marine systems, the method comprising the steps of: cleaning the inner area of a container by applying chemical cleaning agents filling the cleaned container 10 completely with clean, potable water, while expelling all the air contained therein sealing and pressurizing the container 10 with an inert gas in order to expel the water and to create a pressurized inert gas atmosphere within the container applying a liquid sterilizing agent to all inner surfaces of the container 10 removing said liquid sterilizing agent while maintaining the pressurized inert gas atmosphere feeding the bulk sterile product into container and maintaining said container 10 sealed with an internal pressurized inert gas atmosphere. In a variant of the above method, the sterilization of the container is carried out just after the cleaning step, then the liquid sterilizing agent is drained and the container is filled with a sterile liquid to expel all the air contained in it. After-wards, the container is sealed and pressurized with inert gas whereby the sterile liquid is expelled from the container so that the latter can receive the bulk sterile product to be stored.

Method of sterilising a packaging material (1) by means of a sterilising agent in liquid form, comprising the steps of: providing a packaging material (1) to be sterilised, providing a source (11) of sterilising agent in liquid form, forcing the liquid sterilising agent through a nozzle (12) to form a jet (14a) directed towards the packaging material, subjecting the jet (14a) of liquid sterilising agent to a controlled, periodic disturbance causing the jet (14a) of liquid sterilising agent to form a train (14) of droplets of controlled, essentially uniform size and controlled rate, moving the packaging material (1) in relation to said nozzle (12) or vice versa, whereby said train (14) of droplets forms a coating (2) of sterilising agent of controlled thickness and controlled coverage on the packaging material (1), and vaporising the film of sterilising agent on the packaging material (1). The invention also concerns a similar method and devices for implementing said methods.
