    摘要: A method of controlling the dynamic power factor or the re-active power output of a wind park to a utility grid which is to be driven with a requested power factor, a requested voltage or a requested reactive power is provided. The wind park comprises reactor means (83) for providing a selectable shunt capacitance in accordance with a capacitor selection signal and is executed by a wind park controller (43). The method includes:
    a) determining a set point for the wind turbines (1, 3) for setting a reactive power output of the wind turbines (1, 3);
    b) transmitting the set point to the wind turbines (1, 3);
    c) comparing the determined set point to a first threshold set point; and
    d) adjusting the capacitor selection signal in accordance with a result of the comparison.

A first bank is configured to connect to the distribution feeder when a first voltage is below a first lower threshold value and to connect to the distribution feeder when the first voltage is above a first upper threshold value. The first upper threshold and first lower threshold are determined based off an operational set point. The system further includes a sensor (109) configured to measure the first voltage and a controller (108) in operable communication with the plurality of capacitor banks configured to determine the operational state of the first and second capacitor banks and, based on the first voltage, send a first instruction to the first capacitor bank, the first instruction causing the capacitor bank to vary the operational set point.

    摘要: A dynamic mechanically-switched damping (DMSD) system is described which utilizes one or more mechanical switches and appropriate controls to switch series or shunt reactive impedances (14) in order to provide power oscillation damping in power systems. The DMSD system provides a controller (16) which can be configured based on the number of mechanical switches in the DMSD system, the type of reactive impedances interfaced to the power system by each switch and the magnitude of each of the reactive impedance. The DMSD system monitors parameters of the power system (17, 18) and the controller generates a modulation signal based on the monitored parameters. The modulation signal is processed to identify a reactive impedance of the available DMSD system reactive impedances required to damp power oscillations. Appropriate switches (32) are selected for supplying the required reactive impedance. A switching control signal is generated and output to each of the selected switches to synchronously open or close the switch at a predetermined instant.
