摘要:
A wireless communication method and a system comprising a first audio source unit and at least a second audio source unit each comprising; a connection management interface for connecting to a network topology, a protocol management interface, a management link and a communication link, and during a configuration period the first audio source unit may be configured to listen for a notification packet via the management link, and, based on a first criteria, the first audio source unit may be configured to establish, via the protocol management interface, a communication group and a respective communication frame. Furthermore, where the first audio source unit may be a coordinator of the communication group, the coordinator may then be configured to establish notification packets in the communication frame, and the notification packets may then be transmitted via the management link assigned to a first time interval in the communication frame. During the configuration period, the second audio source unit may be configured to listen for a notification packet received? via the management link of the second audio source unit, the second audio source unit receives at least the notification packet and may be configured to extract, via a protocol management interface link, information of the management link of the coordinator from the received notification packet, and the second audio source unit may then be configured to transmit an ID information via the management link of the coordinator of the communication group, and where the coordinator may be configured to assign a second time interval for a communication link of the second audio source unit in the communication frame, the second audio source unit may then be configured to become an audio source member of that communication group. During a data communication period the second audio source member may be configured to communicate via the communication link of the audio source member at the second time interval in the communication frame to a sink unit.

The binaural speech intelligibility predictor unit is configured to provide as an output a final binaural speech intelligibility predictor value SI measure indicative of the listener's perception of said noisy and/or processed versions y l , y r of the target signal. The application further relates to a method of providing a binaural speech intelligibility prediction value. The system comprises a) first, second, third and fourth input units for providing time-frequency representations x l (k,m), x r (k,m), y l (k,m) and y r (k,m) of said left and right noise-free versions and said left and right noisy and/or processed versions of the target signal, respectively, k being a frequency bin index, k= 1 , 2 , ..., K, and m being a time index; b) a first Equalization-Cancellation stage adapted to receive and relatively time shift and amplitude adjust the left and right noise-free versions x l (k,m) and x r (k,m), respectively, and to provide a resulting noise-free signal x ( k,m ); c) a second Equalization-Cancellation stage adapted to receive and relatively time shift and amplitude adjust the left and right noisy and/or processed versions y l (k,m) and y r (k,m), respectively, and to provide a resulting noisy and/or processed signal y(k,m); and d) a monaural speech intelligibility predictor unit for providing final binaural speech intelligibility predictor value SI measure based on said resulting noise-free signal x(k,m) and said resulting noisy and/or processed signal y(k,m) ; wherein said first and second Equalization-Cancellation stages are adapted to optimize the final binaural speech intelligibility predictor value SI measure to indicate a maximum intelligibility of said noisy and/or processed versions y l , y r of the target signal by said listener. The invention may e.g. be used in development systems for hearing aids.

摘要:
Signal processing methods for predicting the intelligibility of speech, e.g., in the form of an index that correlate highly with the fraction of words that an average listener (amongst a group of listeners with similar hearing profiles) would be able to understand from some speech material are proposed. Specifically, solutions to the problem of predicting the intelligibility of speech signals, which are distorted, e.g., by noise or reverberation, and which might have been passed through some signal processing device, e.g., a hearing aid are described. In summary, the disclosure present solutions to the following problems: 1. Monaural, non-intrusive intelligibility prediction of noisy/processed speech signals 2. Binaural, non-intrusive intelligibility prediction of noisy/processed speech signals 3. Monaural and binaural intelligibility enhancement of noisy speech signals.

A method of programming a configurable signal processing unit of a hearing aid device comprises • Providing a frequency transposition algorithm in the hearing aid device where content from more than one upper-lying source frequency band is copied or moved into one and the same lower lying destination frequency band; • Providing a number of frequency transposition configurations, each comprising a specific combination of source regions and a destination region; • Providing a weight parameter that specifies the amount of gain applied to a lowered signal resulting from a given frequency transposition configuration; and • Providing a prescription algorithm that selects an optimum frequency transposition configuration for an ear of a user taking an audiogram for the ear in question and an amplification capability of the hearing aid device in question into account. A purpose of the disclosure is to provide an improved audibility of high frequency sound for users with severe-to-profound hearing losses.
