    摘要: The invention is an automatic method and related apparatus for identifying fingerprints by means of comparing the minutiae of each fingerprint in a data base of fingerprints with selected ones of precomputed vector images of search minutiae in a search print to be identified, in order to determine the existence or not of a fit between the minutiae of a file print and the preselected search minutiae images, in position and angle, a result of such comparison being a matching score indicating the probability of a match between the search print and one or more file prints, the basis for selection of such precomputed vector images being the identity between the angle of a file print minutiae and the angle of a precomputed vector images of the search minutiae.

    摘要: A heddle frame (10) has a pair of laterally extending slats (12) and a pair of end braces (14) connected to the slats to form a rectangular heddle frame. Each of the connections between the slats and the end braces includes an elongated opening (16) defined within the end of the slat. The end brace includes an inwardly directed extension foot (18) configured on and extending essentially perpendicular from the end brace and having a width so as to be slidable within the elongated opening of the slat. A releasable locking member (24) is configured to lock the extension foot within the slat in a locked position and to release the end brace from the slat in a released position, the locking member is disposed through the extreme outward edge (22) of the slat and extends into the elongated opening of the slat. In one embodiment, the end brace is secured directly to the slat by a threaded bolt (24) extending through the extreme outward edge of the slat. In an alternative embodiment, the end brace is indirectly secured to the slat by a threaded bolt and clamp block which is received within the slat. The clamp block defines a recess for receiving the inwardly directed extension foot of the end brace.

    摘要: A novel composition for use in reducing and recovering metals, such as silver, and for use in stripping adhesive polymer layers from various polymer bases, such as polyester, and processes for using same are provided. The composition and variations thereof can be useful in separating an adhesive polymeric layer from the film for recovery of either. The composition comprises a reducing sugar/alkaline solution that is particularly useful for recovering silver from polyester photographic film where a silver halide light-sensitive emulsion layer is adhered to the polyester film by a polymeric adhesive resin, such as resins containing copolymers of polyvinylidene chloride and polyvinyl chloride. Processes for separation and recovery are also disclosed and claimed.
