摘要: A wider variety of printing is performed more appropriately using ink that generates heat by energy radiation. A printing method of performing printing on a medium using color ink includes a water-soluble ink layer forming step of forming a water-soluble ink layer that is a layer of ink that becomes water-soluble after fixing, a color ink layer forming step of ejecting the color ink to the medium to form a color ink layer that is a layer of the color ink, and a water-soluble ink layer removing step of removing the water-soluble ink layer. The color ink includes a colorant and a solvent and generates heat by radiation of energy rays. In the color ink layer forming step, energy rays are emitted to the color ink after ink droplets landing to remove by evaporation at least part of the solvent included in the color ink.

摘要: There are provided an inkjet recording device (1) and a test chart detection method capable of improving detection accuracy of a test chart recorded on a recording medium (P) by ink having poor visibility irrespective of characteristics of the recording medium (P).
An inkjet recording device (1) includes: a fluorescent inkjet head (8) that forms a fluorescent image on a recording medium (P) by ejecting ink containing a phosphor onto the recording medium (P); an ultraviolet light source (55) that irradiates the fluorescent image formed on the recording medium (P) with ultraviolet rays; and an imager (52) that detects fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent image by the irradiation of the ultraviolet rays.

摘要: To allow printing through a more appropriate method when carrying out printing using a two-liquid type ink. A fixing agent amount setting method of setting a usage amount of a fixing agent, which is liquid for fixing n ink, which is a colored ink, on a medium, where a fixing agent density, which is an amount of the fixing agent to eject per unit area is made to correspond with a colored ink density, which is an amount of the ink to eject per unit area, and set to a value smaller than or equal to an upper limit value of a fixing agent density corresponding to a maximum fixing agent density at which color unevenness does not occur on the medium.

摘要: A recording method includes applying an ink composition onto a recording medium, such as a roll sheet, primarily drying the recording medium by increasing the surface temperature of the recording medium to a primary drying temperature during the application of the ink composition, transporting the recording medium onto which the ink composition has been applied to a secondary drying device, and secondarily drying the recording medium by increasing the surface temperature of the recording medium to a secondary drying temperature with the secondary drying device. The variation in surface temperature of the recording medium from the primary drying temperature to the lowest temperature and the variation in surface temperature of the recording medium from the primary drying temperature to the highest temperature, in the period from the completion of the application of the ink composition to the completion of the secondary drying are -40% or more and 370% or less, respectively, relative to the primary drying temperature. The surface temperature of the recording medium is increased to the secondary drying temperature at an average rate of 7°C/s or less after the completion of the application of the ink composition.
