    摘要: A casing of a radio-controlled wristwatch comprises a casing base body through which a radio wave can transmit, and a thin film covering all or part of an exterior surface of the casing base body and having a surface assuming a metallic color. The casing base body comprises a casing main body portion and a back lid portion, all or a substantial part of the casing main body portion and/or all or a substantial part of the back lid portion being made of a material having a radio wave transmissive property. The material having a radio wave transmissive property consists of a ceramic or glass. The thin film having a surface assuming a metallic color consists of a metal or metallic compound. Thus, it is possible to accommodate not only a watch unit but also an antenna unit in the casing to thereby provide a radio-controlled wristwatch with a built-in antenna that has a luxurious appearance and allows for a greater freedom of design.

    摘要: A time recorder includes a radio wave clock having a receiving controller for regularly executing a receiving operation of a standard time wave. The radio wave clock automatically corrects the current time based on the time data of the standard time wave on successful reception of the standard time wave. The time recorder further includes: a storing device for storing the time of successful reception of the standard time wave; and a receiving schedule setting device that assumes the time zone around the successful receiving time as the next receiving trial time zone. Preferably, the time recorder includes: a receiving operation indicator for indicating the receiving operation of the standard time wave; an input level indicator for indicating reception of the standard time wave during the receiving operation; and a controller for varying the blinking interval of said input level indicator depending on the input level.

    摘要: A method of checking the plausibility of time information provided by a battery backed up real time clock (RTC) in a mobile terminal of a wireless telecommunication system is disclosed in which a time information of the real time clock is stored in a non-volatile memory means (NVM) during operation of the mobile terminal, the method comprising the steps of:

    reading (S2) the time information stored in the non-volatile memory means;
    comparing (S3) the time information read from the non-volatile memory means with a present time information output from the real time clock; and
    deciding (S4) on the basis of the comparison result, whether the time information supplied by the real time clock is valid.

    摘要: A wristwatch (1) receives time-of-day information transmitted in the form of an infrared signal (step SA1) and then calculates the difference between the received time-of-day information and its time data. A decision is made as to whether the difference is not less than or less than a predetermined value (step SA2). If the difference is less than the predetermined value, the accuracy of the received data and the accuracy set in the wristwatch are determined by referring to the types of time-measuring references (step SA3). When the received data is higher accurate, the current time data stored by the first storage area (101) is corrected by the received time data (step SA6).

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and device for the transmission of a time signal (14) which can be received almost world-wide. Said time signal with suitable receivers (8) is used for automatically setting clocks (9) to the local time. To this end, the invention uses a time signal transmitter (6) on board a low-flying space station or satellite (3) in an orbit with a high or large inclination during which almost the entire surface of the earth is flown over in the course of time. Due to the low altitude, a sufficiently high received field strength can be generated on the ground despite low transmitting power so that reception by a wristwatch is also possible. Said transmitting power does not disturb other satellites. The time signal transmitter (6) not only transmits the actual time but also additional data concerning the instantaneous position, flying direction and future radio contact make times thereof. The surface of the earth is divided into numbered zones (17) enabling the receiving clock (9) to determine the local time from the transmitted data without a large calculation effort.

    摘要: An electronic timepiece in which errors in detection of the 24 o'clock position are avoided regardless of forward or reverse rotation of the 24 o'clock wheel (211). An electrically conductive contact spring (301) is attached to the wheel (211) and rotates therewith relative to a series of circumferentially disposed electrode patterns (501, 502, 503). The series of signals generated by sliding contact of the spring (301) with the electrodes (501, 502, 503) enables forward and reverse rotation of the wheel (211) to be distinguished and thus enables precise detection of the 24 o'clock position.
