摘要： The method for painting metal plates and sections includes the steps of pre-treating the section surfaces for preparing the surfaces for painting, distributing a first paint on the section, bringing the section to a first temperature for a time adapted to start a polymerization process of the first paint, cooling the section in order to stop the polymerization process at a selected phase, distributing a second paint at selected locations of at least one surface covered with the first paint which is different from the second paint, bringing the section to a final temperature for a selected time required for the complete polymerization of the first and second paints.

摘要： A support material (1) for a painting comprises a substrate (6), e.g. of paper or card, having on regions (13) thereof a removable masking material (3) to provide pictorial content and to define non-masked regions (16) of substrate which provide a surface for receiving and retaining paint, wherein the masking material (3) is provided on the substrate (6) in the form of a printed layer, applied for instance by screen printing. The preferred masking material (3) is applied as a latex-based fluid and is removable from the substrate (6) by an eraser (14) after application of a water-based paint wash to the entire substrate surface. Optionally the subsequently unmasked regions can be painted to provide additional pictorial detail.

No great care is required in application of these colour washes; it is expected that they will overlap onto the remaining dark varnish coating, but due to the dark, glossy and grained nature of this area the regions covered by the washes and particularly their edges are not visible. Moreover, as the surface is glossy and does not immediately absorb the wash errors can readily be put right.

Ferner wird eine durchsichtige Paste auf den sandgestrahlten oder freigewischten Freiraum aufgebracht, die mit einer Tinte zur Herstellung des darzustellenden Bildes/Symboles bedruckt wird. Mit diesem Verfahren lassen sich besonders dekorative optische Effekte erzielen.
