The invention relates to a master-keyed cylinder comprising tumblers and to the corresponding master key. According to the invention, each tumbler is equipped with an inner hole comprising an outer protrusion on which a spring acts and an inner flange on which the key acts, such as to move the tumbler, said inner flanges being disposed at different heights. Moreover, the tumblers are disposed such that some of same move in one direction while others move in the opposite direction. In addition, the inner hole of each tumbler is provided with a step which is disposed on the side opposite that of the inner flange. Furthermore, one of the faces of the key comprises a notch having a minimum width which is equal to the distance between the maximum height reached by the flanges of the tumblers moving in one direction and the maximum height reached by the flanges of the tumblers moving in the opposite direction. The opposite face of said key is equipped with double toothing which are interconnected with the steps on the inner holes of the tumblers. The invention is suitable for locks.

The invention relates to a closing device (10) with a rotor (11) which has a cylindrical periphery (17) and which accommodates spring-loaded locking mechanisms on one side. With a closing device of this type, a pivoting tilting moment of the locking mechanisms may occur. A stator (21) for rotationally mounting the rotor (11) has a blocking channel (22) which is delimited by two flanks (23, 24) and into which the end of the spring-loaded locking mechanisms moves when the key is withdrawn, hereby preventing the rotor (11) from turning. The aim of the invention is to render the device more secure against break-in attempts by picking. To this end, there is a widened channel section (40) in the stator (21) on the flank (23) of the blocking channel (22) that is oriented in the direction of the tilting movement (25). When the rotor (11) is moved into a rotation position in the direction of the tilting direction of the locking mechanism following manipulation, the locking mechanism rests on an inwardly pointing support surface provided inside the widened channel section (40) with its end. The locking mechanism therefore projects beyond the periphery of the rotor (11), hereby intercepting any rotation of the rotor (11) back (26) in the opposite direction of rotation from the other flank (24) of the blocking channel (22), resulting from further manipulation.

In order to obtain a simple and yet reliable device (10.1), the invention provides that the lock cylinder (20) is arranged in a manner that prevents it from twisting, and the blocking edge (30) is made such that it can transversally move (35) in relation to the tumblers (21, 21"). This transversal motion (35) is caused by the traveling motion (12) of the momentary contact switch (11). The blocked position of the tumblers (21, 21") prevents the transversal motion (35) of the blocking edge (30). The traveling motion (12) of the momentary contact switch (11) is then only transferred to the lock when the transversal motion (35) of the blocking edge (30) is possible.

Said disconnect coupling is connected to the exit element (41) of the cylinder lock in a manner which is always rotationally fixed, and is connected to the cylinder core (3) when turned with the cylinder core (3) in the cage (2). The disconnect coupling does not contact the cylinder core (3) when said cylinder core (3) is simultaneously turned with the cage (2). A carrying device (23) arranged on the cage (2) is provided for disengaging the disconnect coupling (4) from the cylinder core (3). An element (22) which can be disengaged is displaceably mounted in the carrying device. A spring-loaded, displaceable disconnect coupling (4) rests on the inner end of said element (22), and the other end thereof is pressed inside a cam track situated on the front ring (110) of the housing (1).
