    摘要: A method and an apparatus for controlling interference in a wireless communication system are provided. The method for controlling interference by a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system includes receiving an interfering cell signal transmitted by an interfering cell located adjacent to the BS, acquiring interference information based on the received interfering cell signal, and transmitting the acquired interference information to a User Equipment (UE). Because the BS acquires interference information between the BS and a neighboring cell and transmits the acquired interference information to the UE, the UE can effectively cancel interference at a cell edge area and the like, so that the system throughput of the entire wireless network can be significantly increased.
