A compressed vaporous discharge stream is de-superheated in a de-superheater system. The de-superheater system comprises a de-superheater heat exchanger configured to bring at least a portion of the compressed vaporous discharge stream in indirect heat exchanging contact with an ambient stream. A de-superheater bypass line comprising an temperature-controlled valve is configured to selectively bypass the de-superheater heat exchanger. A combiner is configured downstream of the de-superheater heat exchanger for rejoining the bypass portion with the portion of the compressed vaporous discharge stream that has passed through the de-superheater heat exchanger. A mixer is configured downstream of said combiner, to receive and mix the rejoined stream, and discharge the rejoined stream into a de-superheater discharge conduit as a de-superheated stream.

The hydraulic oil of the present invention not only has a high kinetic viscosity in the high-temperature domain even though the incorporation of an oiliness agent is omitted, and can thereby effect satisfactory operation efficiently and which has excellent braking characteristics, but which also has a low viscosity in the low-temperature domain and so has excellent low-temperature performance.

Systems may include a hydrogenation unit, a dehydrogenation unit, an olefin dimerization unit, an isomerization unit, an alkylation unit and/or one or more separations unit. Methods for producing a branched alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons may include any combination of hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, dimerization and/or isomerization of olefms in a process stream. The produced olefins may be used to alkylate aromatic hydrocarbons to form branched alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons. After alkylation of the aromatic hydrocarbons, unreacted components from the alkylation process may be separated from the alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons. The unreacted components from the alkylation process may be recycled back into the main process stream or sent to other processing units.

The ethylene oxide manufacturing system includes an epoxidation reactor system containing a volume of high activity epoxidation catalyst. The method includes replacing a portion of the volume of high activity epoxidation catalyst with a volume of high selectivity catalyst, and modifying the operation of the process system so as to provide for a feed to the epoxidation reactor system having a reduced carbon dioxide concentration.
