    摘要: A contention-based datalink couples a receiving station and a plurality of sending stations. A first sending station has established a communication session with the receiving station. If a second one of the plurality of sending stations requests a call setup for a higher priority low-latency transmission, the receiving station sends a poll to the second sending station. The poll causes the first sending station to temporarily suspend its transmission activities and permits the second sending station to transmit a real time protocol (RTP) datagram. Upon completion of transmission from the second sending station, the suspended transmission from the first sending station resumes in a transparent fashion. The receiving station controls transmission rate by sending poll requests at intervals determined by a data value transmitted from sending station. Within the sending station, datagrams in an output queue are monitored and polling rate varied so as to maintain the number of datagrams in the output queue at an optimal level.

    摘要: A programmable control for load management of a plurality of electrical power loads (F) is disclosed which contains at least two groups (F1, F2) of load controllers for controlling the power supply to loads connected to various preselected load controllers. A group selector (10) selects which of the groups is functionally operative at any given instant in time based on environment or other criteria. A serial selector (20) commonly connected to each of the load controllers in the groups serially selects one of the load controllers in each group for conduction for at least one period of the serial selector. There is provided a first set of programming points (D) situated at the input to the load controllers. The programming points are selectively connected by wires or diodes in any desired fashion to modify the conduction period or order of the various load controllers. A restart delay (30) mechanism is included, which is operative in the event of power failure, to delay the conduction on any of the load controllers for a period of time upon restoration of power.
