    摘要: A modular jack connector compensates for plug characteristics via a controlled primary compensation in the immediate vicinity of the connector interface. A jack contact assembly is positioned within a jack housing and includes first and second sets of elongate contacts each having a plug contact portion and a signal output portion. Each elongate contact is configured such that their respective plug contact portions are coplanar and a signal path is defined between their plug contact portions and their signal output portions. A flexible circuit board is coupled proximate to the plug contact portions, and configured to provide capacitance compensation between respective contacts engaged thereby, wherein the capacitance compensation is offset from a signal path defined between the plug contact portions and the corresponding signal output portions.

    摘要: An improved patch panel assembly includes a frame and faceplate that mate with a housing, and the housing defines a plurality of individual communication ports. The housing is mounted to the patch panel frame and includes jack openings that accommodate data jacks and circuit board openings that accommodate mating blades of circuit boards. The two sets of openings are separated on the housing by an intervening spacing and interposer terminal sets are provided to electrically interconnect the jacks with circuits on the circuit boards. The patch panel housings may be formed in discrete groupings so that, if desired, the patch panels may have ports that are grouped together by bandwidth, storage capability and the like. Inasmuch as the housings are mounted to the patch panel frames, the jacks and the circuit boards can be easily and individually replaced, repaired or upgraded with similar components without requiring disassembly of the patch panel.

    摘要: A female terminal for an electrical connector may generally include a socket with an opening for receiving a male terminal, a first pair of contacts, a second pair of contacts, a pair of crimping members, and positioning tabs. The socket may be defined by a pair of opposing sidewalls, a top, and a bottom, at least in examples where the socket is generally rectangular. The first and second pairs of contacts may be disposed along the pair of opposing sidewalls, projecting at least partially into the socket configured to contact and exert substantially the same normal force on a male terminal that is inserted into the socket. The pair of crimping members can be utilized to secure a wire to the female terminal, and the positioning tabs may be utilized to secure the female terminal within the electrical connector.

    摘要: An implantable lead connector assembly includes contact rings, and a bulk of insulation, which includes sealing surfaces and a shank defining a distal end of the bulk. One or more conductor pins extend within the bulk and have distal ends protruding distally therefrom to be exposed alongside the shank; and an inner surface of each contact ring may have a proximal end of a corresponding conductor pin coupled thereto. The sealing surfaces, in conjunction with outer contact surfaces of the contact rings, which are interspersed therebetween, define a uniform outer diameter for the connector assembly. The bulk of insulation may be formed in two parts, wherein a primary bulk is formed around a core and includes circuit-support and shank segments. A secondary bulk, which includes the aforementioned sealing surfaces, is injection molded around the primary bulk, after positioning the contact rings and corresponding conductor pins on the circuit-support segment thereof.
