The invention relates to a device for receiving and separating chips created by machine-tools and coolant, the coolant being redirected in order to be reused and the chips being carried away. The inventive device comprises: a receiving tank (1) for receiving the chips and the coolant; a rising guiding section (3) which is connected to the receiving tank (1); a raised output section (4) connected to the guiding section (3); a chain-type, closed transport element which is guided at least into the region receiving the chips and the coolant, and into the output section (4), by means of deviation elements (6, 7), at least one of said deviation elements being coupled to a rotating drive; and a rotatably mounted filter drum (12) which is connected to the transport element in a driven manner. The aim of the invention is to reduce the wear caused by the axial bearing load and to decrease the demands on the elements co-operating in the axial direction. To this end, both ends of the filter drum (12) are provided with an inner bearing ring (13) which respectively engages in an outer bearing ring (16) in a rotationally fixed manner; spring elements (19) extending parallel to the axis of the filter drum (12) are supported on both the inner bearing ring (13) and the outer bearing ring (16); the outer bearing ring (16) is respectively located in a bearing shell (23, 24) fixed to the housing and is supported by the same in the axial direction; and sealing elements (17) are respectively provided between the inner bearing ring (13) and the outer bearing ring (16).

The invention relates to a method for producing non-flammable, high-temperature resistant fibers from glass, aramide or carbon, whereby the fibers are impregnated with a PTFE dispersion. According to the invention, the fibers with zerotwist or with a producer twist of ≤ 120 twists/m are impregnated with the coating plastic. They are then impregnated under pressure in a nozzle and are subsequently dried. These fibers can be used as such or subjected to a subsequent treatment, e.g. to produce tarpaulins, conveyor belts, heatproofing or flameproofing articles as well as garments.

The invention relates to a method for biologically treating waste water containing dye from the textile and leather industry, in particular waste water containing azo and sulphur dyes. According to said method: the waste water containing dye is fed to an anaerobic preliminary stage with a negative redox potential, (1st treatment stage); the waste water then passes to an optionally anaerobic or aerobic activated-sludge stage, (2nd treatment stage) and is fed to an aerobic secondary treatment stage (3rd treatment stage). According to the invention, in a chemical/oxidative treatment stage, ozone or a combination of ozone and hydrogen peroxide is added as an oxidation agent to the waste water or recycled water that has been treated in the known manner and at least the main portion of the recycled water is subsequently fed back to the production process as process water.

According to the invention, the barrel may be compressed by the amount corresponding to the lengthwise expansion due to operational heating, by the pressure generated by the tension in the barrel due to the same lengthwise expansion on operational heating. In this manner, said barrels, when under tension, do not suffer undesired deformation of the barrel due to expansion on operational heating, instead, said expansion is taken up by compensation sections (7), which merely extend over a small portion of the barrel length. In use the barrel behaves like a rigid casing.

Diese Aufgabe wird bei einer Zeitanzeige mit einer Skala und einem Zeiger dadurch gelöst, dass die Skala in eine gerade Anzahl gerader, gleich langer, parallel und nebeneinander verlaufender Abschnitte 1, 2 unterteilt ist, dass der anzuzeigende Zeitzyklus in die gleiche Anzahl von Abschnitten unterteilt ist und diese entlang der Skalenabschnitte 1, 2 mit jeweils wechselnder Richtung aufgetragen sind, dass der Zeiger 6 auf einer zu den Skalenabschnitten 1, 2 parallelen Bahn gleichförmig bewegt ist und sich die Bewegungsrichtung des Zeigers 6 bei Erreichen eines jeden Endes eines Skalenabschnitts 1, 2 umkehrt, und dass der Zeiger 6 jeweils allen Abschnitten der Skala 1, 2 zugeordnet ist.

A method and two devices for the reduction of cuttings are disclosed. Cutting breakers without coarse particle ejector elements are often used for reducing cuttings. Components which cause a blockage must then be laboriously removed, for example, by hand. Where a coarse particle ejector is provided, no differentiation is made between a blockage caused by solid pieces or bundles of cuttings, but, rather, both are ejected. According to the invention, a differentiation of blocking elements into categories depending upon the deceleration of the shaft (3, 17, 18), caused by the blockage is possible and each category is assigned a defined reversing process to loosen the blocking component, with an optional ejection from the reducing chamber (1, 15), by means of a coarse particle ejector (12, 32).
