The particle allow a formulatorto tailor-make a solution of defined rheology (viscosity and/or viscoelasticity) using nanoparticles to control these properties. Further, the particles allow independent control of each of the variable and further allow the variable to be controlled without use of additional surfactants, polymer and other components traditionally used for this end.The invention also comprises compositions thereof.

An iridescent continuous phase soap bar with an ordered layered microstructure containing soap, water and specific ethoxylated alcohols is described. The phenomena of continuousphase iridescence in a soap bar is characterised as blue hue which intensity depends on the viewing angle and on the background colourused for its observation by the user. In a preferred embodiment, the iridescent soap bar is prepared with mixing equipment capable of creating intensive mass shearing conditions and which generate high compression and extensional forces on the processed soap mass.

The invention provides liquid cleanser compositions which contains fatty acyl isethionate surfactant products having at least 10 wt % free fatty acid and/or fatty acid salt used as the primary surfactant at a level at least 60 wt % of total fatty acyl isethionate and synthetic cosurfactants in the liquid composition. The key is to insure a specific combination of surfactant crystal modifiers so that the fatty acyl isethionate-containing liquid composition will be stable at low and high temperatures.
