    摘要: Chemical etching of bottles in a bottle washer is minimized by soaking the bottles in a highly caustic composition which does not include any phosphorus compounds, ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid or nitrilotriacetic acid. The soaking composition includes the sodium hydroxide dissolved in water, in combination with polycarboxylic acid crystal growth inhibitors. Preferably, the soaking solution further includes a nonionic surfactant such as an alkyl polyglucoside, as well as a chelant such as a gluconate, glucoheptonate, or boroheptonate. The soaking solution can be added by either combining a liquid or powder build detergent composition which also forms a portion of the present invention or, alternately, an additive package, not including the sodium hydroxide, can be added. These compositions effectively clean the bottles and significantly reduce the dissolution of the glass which can, in turn, cause a hazing and weight loss. This also reduces the amount of silicate scale formed in the bottle washing apparatus.

    摘要: A two-part enzyme-based cleaning system useful in clean-in-place operations to remove proteinaceous soils from dairy equipment is described. The system comprises two liquid concentrates stored in separate containers, the concentrates being diluted and mixed for use. A. The first concentrate consists of: i) 1.5 to 7.5 percent by weight of a source of alkalinity selected from the sources of hydroxide based alkaline compositions; ii) 1 to 16 percent by weight of a water conditioner selected from the group consisting of polyacrylic acids and polyphosphates; and iii) balance water. B. The second concentrate consists of: i) 5 to 45 percent by weight of an enzyme stabilizing blend of an alkali salt of a (C6 to C12) fatty acid and a linear (C8-C18) polyoxyalkylene alcohol; ii) an effective amount of a proteolytic enzyme; and iii) optionally, an enzyme compatible non-aqueous polyol filler; and iv) balance water.

    摘要: A concentrated detergent formulation effective to remove grease includes a glycol ether solvent system in combination with a high concentration of a surfactant system stably dispersed in water. The surfactant system is preferably a combination of a hydrotrope and a nonionic surfactant with a concentration preferably in the range of 7 % or greater. The glycol ether solvent system can be any of a number of glycol ethers with dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether and dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether preferred. The formulation can be used at high concentrations to effectively remove baked-on grease in deep fryers and clean parking lots and can be used at a lower concentration as a presoak and even at a more dilute concentration for general purpose degreasing and spray and wipe cleaner. The product is low alkaline and non-corrosive.
