    摘要: A slicer comprises a frame having a driven slicing knife mounted thereon, and a table for supporting the product to be sliced. The table is movable parallel to the slicing knife. A pusher assembly is connected to the table in a manner pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the slicing knife and is movable along said axis by means of a grip. The rig includes a pusher plate and a guard between the pusher plate and the grip. The pusher plate is mounted at a distance from the guard so as to ensure a safe distance between the guard and the slicing knife also when the pusher plate is approaching the slicing knife.

    摘要: A heat exchanger unit (10) comprises a core (25) and manifold (22, 23) assembly (14) mounted in a rectangular sub-frame (13). The sub-frame (13) comprises a U-shaped member (20) the opposed limbs (24) of which form confronting channels receiving side portions of the assembly (14), and a cross-member (21) secured to the assembly (14) and releasably secured to the ends of the limbs (24) to complete the rectangular sub-frame (13) and retain the assembly (14) in it. The unit (10) is fitted to a vehicle with the U-shaped member (20) in an inverted position so that with the cross-member (21) disconnected from it the assembly (14) can be slid into and out of the sub-frame (13) from beneath the vehicle.

The assembly is of sandwich construction including a number of non-ferrous foil lamellae (66, 63, 71) and spacer lamellae (60, 62, 70). Each valve has a valve seat and a valve member, both of which are provided on the foil lamellae. Chambers are bounded by the spacer lamellae and separated by the foil lamellae. The movable valve members (79, 65, 66, 67, 68) carry armatures so as to be movable by externally applied magnetic flux.

    摘要: A membrane probing assembly (42) includes a support element (54) having an incompressible forward support (66) tiltably coupled to a rearward base and a membrane assembly (72) with its central region (80) interconnected to the support (54) by an elastomeric layer (98). Flexible traces form data/signal lines (76) to contact (88) on the central region (80). Each contact (88) comprises a rigid beam (90) and a bump (92) located in off-centered location on the beam (90), which bump (92) includes a contacting portion (93). After initial touchdown of these contacting portions (93), further over-travel of the pads (100) causes each beam (90) to independently tilt locally so that different portions of each beam (90) move different distances relative to the support (54) thus driving each contact into lateral scrubbing movement across the pad (100) thereby clearing away oxide buildup. The elastomeric member backed by the incompressible support ensures sufficient scrub pressure and reliable tilt recovery of each contact (88) without mechanical straining of the beam (90).

    摘要: A method and apparatus (20, 90) for forming rivet joints that allow pivotal motion of the parts interconnected by such joints with a desired amount of clearance (86). Parts (66, 68) to be riveted together are aligned with each other and held in place on a parts support anvil (24, 96), and a rivet (74) is placed into aligned holes (70, 72). A rivet support anvil (38) is positioned against the head (76) of the rivet to establish an initial condition. The rivet support anvil is adjusted a required amount with respect to the parts support anvil prior to formation of the second head (84) on the opposite end of the rivet. The rivet is allowed to move a controlled amount prior to formation of the second head, to provide the desired amount of clearance.
