The present invention discloses a colour gamut mapping method and apparatus, a computer program and a recording medium, which pertain to the technical field of displaying. The method comprises: acquiring at least one colour gamut type tag of at least one layer; determining at least one colour gamut corresponding to the at least one layer, based on the at least one colour gamut type tag; for each layer, mapping the layer to a corresponding colour gamut by using a colour gamut mapping method corresponding to the colour gamut type; and superimposing the at least one layer mapped to the at least one corresponding colour gamut, so as to form and output an image to be displayed. The present invention solves the problem that some layers show poor display effect when using the same colour gamut to display images of each frame in the terminal. In addition, for different layers of each image to be displayed in the terminal, different colour gamut mapping methods are adopted according to different colour gamut types. Thus, more accurate colours are available for a natural layer and more bright colours are available for a UI layer, thereby enhancing the overall display effect of the terminal.
