The present invention relates to a method for retrieving data stored in a database, wherein - the data is stored in the database, the database comprising nodes and edges, wherein the nodes comprise node-data which is stored in accordance with a predefined schema and wherein the edges define relations between the nodes, - a combination of at least some of the edges is defined as a first version of a reference perspective, - updating at least one of the edges, yielding at least one updated edge, wherein a combination of edges which comprises at least one updated edge is defined as a second version of a reference perspective, - establishing a data connection to the database, - sending a request to retrieve data stored in the database, wherein the request comprises a version identifier which indicates the version of the reference perspective that is to be used for the request, - retrieving and outputting the requested data, wherein the data is retrieved based on the edges of the first version, if the version identifier indicates the first version and wherein the data is retrieved based on the edges of the second version, if the version identifier indicates the second version.

The present invention relates to a method for parallelized simulation of the movement of a machine component in or near a work object, wherein - a planned trajectory of the machine component is divided into several trajectory portions, - a simulation of at least a first trajectory portion and a second trajectory portion is performed at least partly in parallel yielding simulation results, wherein the simulation comprises determining incidents, preferably collisions, along the trajectory portions, - at least the simulation results of the first trajectory portion and the second trajectory portion are merged yielding a merged simulation result, wherein merging comprises that the simulation results of the first trajectory portion and the second trajectory portion are combined and incidents determined along the second trajectory portion are reassessed based on the simulation results of the first trajectory portion, wherein the incident is removed from or not taken over into the merged simulation results if the reassessment indicates that the incident cannot occur, - the merged simulation result is outputted.

A method for providing a framework to provide a basis for the realization of independently developed programs. The framework comprises at least one database table specification, each said database table specification being centrally provided and comprising a list of table fields, any selection of which can be selected by a program developer to derive an application specific database table including selected table fields taken from said database table specification and optionally one or more further application specific table fields. The framework automatically creates a basic database table and a program developer only concerns himself with said application specific database table and not with said basic database table. The method involves the use of inclusive and selective inheritance of database tables resulting in great flexibility and substantial benefits in practice.
