A valve seat (10) of a different material than the valve body is insert-cast molded integral with the valve body. The configuration of the valve seat (10) and the mass of the valve body surrounding the seat (10) being sufficiently large reduces a chilling effect during molding such that a pressure-tight and waterproof interface is formed between adjacent surfaces of the valve body and the valve seat (10).

    摘要: A breakaway hydraulic coupler includes a coupler body assembly removably attachable to a fluid hydrant by a first lock member thereof. A sleeve assembly is connected to the coupler body assembly and includes a second lock member selectively movable into engagement with the first lock member to move the first lock member into locked position to attach the coupler body to the fluid hydrant. Upon an application of a load external to the hydraulic coupler exceeding a predetermined amount, the first lock member applies a sufficient force to the second lock member to cause a region of weakness of the second lock member to displace, allowing the first lock member to move to the unlocked position and the hydraulic coupler to detach from the hydrant.

A measurement cylinder is pivotally attached to the fitting, and includes a fluid vortex generating obstruction. A sensor body extends through the fitting and has a sensor element at an end thereof disposed in the measurement cylinder and generally aligned with the obstruction to detect fluid vortices generated by the obstruction. The measurement cylinder is selectively movable from a position generally aligned with the fitting, to a position generally parallel to the fluid flowing through the valve or pipeline.
