The invention relates to a cosmetic product for protecting the skin from environmental influences, said product containing: a plant extract mixture, consisting of Hedera helix extract, Buddleja davidii extract, Thymus vulgaris extract, Ginkgo biloba extract, Camellia sinensis extract and Citrus grandis extract; an oxygen carrier which consists of a liquid perfluorinated or partially fluorinated hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon mixture, a liquid silicone polymer or silicone polymer mixture and an oil or water base, said carrier system being charged with gaseous oxygen; a radical scavenger, selected from vitamins, flavones, flavonoids, plant extracts, plant extract mixtures, enzymes, amino acids, peptides, carotinoids, α-hydroxy acids and mixtures thereof; a particulate, inorganic or organic cosmetically acceptable material having an average particle size in the range of 1-25 μm; and cosmetic adjuvants, carrier substances and mixtures thereof. The product according to the invention has a wide and long-lasting protective effect especially against particles from cigarette fumes and diesel exhaust particulates.

The invention refers to the use of a cosmetic composition for protecting the human skin against infrared (IR) radiation. The invention is characterised by the use of a main mixture for preparing a composition for protecting the skin against infrared radiation, wherein the main mixture comprises a first plant extract mixture of Green Coffee, Camellia Sinensis, Pongamia Pinnata, Angelica Archangelica and Citrus Aurantium; a second mixture of vitamins E and C and derivatives thereof; a third mixture of particular materials of ruby powder, mica and titanium dioxide with a particle size in the range of 3 - 10 µm; and cosmetic auxiliaries for the final composition. The composition shows a synergistic effect because of a significantly higher degree of protection than the single groups of substances.

The invention refers to a cosmetic composition for increasing collagen synthesis in skin cells comprising 0.001 - 0.5 wt% of a Phaeodactylum tricornutum extract, 0.00001 - 2.0 wt% of Dimer Tripeptide-43 or Hydroiyzed Rice Protein, and cosmetic auxiliaries. The cosmetic composition comprising the combination of both components has an synergistic effect on collagen I synthesis in skin cells and has a booster effect to other substances which are known to have an enhancing effect to collagen I synthesis.

The invention relates to a cosmetic comprising two different systems for procurement of actives in the human skin and enhancing the collagen I synthesis. The invention is realised by a cosmetic with enhanced collagen I synthesis which comprises as main components a first retinol-containing system comprising Chitosan and carboxymethyl cellulose, wherein the retinol content is in the range of 0,1 to 2 % by weight, related to the weight of the first retinol-containing system; and a second retinol-containing system comprising cationic liposomes with a quaternary fatty acid monoamine with C21 - C23 alkyl residues wherein the retinol content is in the range of 0.1 - 3 % by weigh, related to the weight of the second retinol-containing system. Very small amounts of retinol in combination with both transport systems show a remarkable effect on the synthesis of collagen I in comparison with one or more other known combinations of retinol derivatives or encapsulated systems.
