摘要： A syringe tip adaptor (20) for connecting a syringe tip (14) to a handpiece body (12) comprises channel means (62) for providing an air passage from the handpiece body (12) through its cylindrical body (20) and into an air passageway (34) in the syringe tip (14). The channel means (62) is generally radially disposed relative to the hollow interior of the cylindrical body (20). An elongated tapered male connector (21) has an axial opening (48) therethrough adapted to cooperate with a central passageway (32) in the syringe tip (14) to provide a water passageway from the handpiece body (12) through the adaptor (20) and into the syringe tip (14). When the syringe tip (14) is mounted on the tapered male connector (21), the syringe tip (14) will be tightly held on the tapered male connector (21) to prevent axial rotation of the syringe tip (14) and to ensure that the air and water passageways do not leak into each other.
