摘要： The invention relates to a tamper-evident seal assembly for use with a locking mechanism, the locking mechanism including a sliding member 5 which is slidable between a locked position and an unlocked position, said sliding member having a transversely projecting peg portion 11. The seal assembly comprises a channel portion 20 defining in its base a longitudinally aligned slot 21 through which the peg portion 11 can protrude, and a disposable breakable seal member 22 which is longitudinally slidable in the channel portion. The seal member 22 has means 23 for engagement with the projecting peg portion 11, such that, in the unlocked position, the seal member can be placed in the channel portion and in engagement with the peg portion, the seal member then being slidable in the channel portion and engagement between the seal member and the peg portion causing corresponding sliding of the sliding member to its locked position. In this position retaining parts 24 of the channel portion prevent lifting of the seal member, whilst the engagement between the seal member and the peg portion prevents sliding withdrawal of the seal member, whereby the locking mechanism is held in the locked position until the seal member is broken.

The seal assembly comprises a channel portion 20 defining in its base a longitudinally aligned slot 21 through which the peg portion 11 can protrude, and a disposable breakable seal member 22 which is longitudinally slidable in the channel portion. The seal member 22 has means 23 for engagement with the projecting peg portion 11, such that, in the unlocked position, the seal member can be placed in the channel portion and in engagement with the peg portion, the seal member then being slidable in the channel portion and engagement between the seal member and the peg portion causing corresponding sliding of the sliding member to its locked position. In this position retaining parts 24 of the channel portion prevent lifting of the seal member, whilst the engagement between the seal member and the peg portion prevents sliding withdrawal of the seal member, whereby the locking mechanism is held in the locked position until the seal member is broken.

摘要： The lockable tamper-evident device is suitable for securing a closure member in its closed position to an article. The device comprises a pair of arms (1, 1') which are movable between an open position in which the arms (1, 1') are engagable with an article and/or a closure member, and a locked-closed position in which disengagement of the arms from the article and/or the closure member is prevented by engagement of a cooperable locking means. Preferably, the arms (1, 1') are engagable with a projection (7, 7') extending either from the article and through an opening in the closure member or from the closure member and through an opening in the article. Preferably, the cooperable locking means (8, 10, 11, 12) is carried by the arms (1, 1'), activation of the locking means (8, 10, 11, 12) being brought about by movement of the arms (1, 1') to the locked-closed position. In the locked-closed position removal of the closure member is prevented by engagement of the arms (1, 1') with the article and/or the closure member.

摘要： According to the invention, there is provided a tamper evident security seal suitable for tying the neck of a bag or the like. The seal comprises a strap (1) having a free end and a housing (2) at its opposite end. The housing has a passage therethrough into one end of which the free end of the strap can be slidingly inserted and passed out through the other end of the passage so that the strap forms a loop. Teeth (8) project obliquely into the passage between its ends so as to engage with the strap inside the passage, the teeth being made of material which is hard relative to the material of the strap, whereby the teeth permit sliding insertion of the strap into the passage but resist sliding withdrawal therefrom. The end surfaces of the teeth (8) in engagement with the strap (1) form cutting edges, so that attempted forced withdrawal of the strap from the passage will cause the teeth to cut the strap.
