The ammonium ions preferably are added in the form of an ammonium salt, which constitutes less than 35 weight percent of the explosive composition. An explosive composition which has been stabilised by the addition of ammonium ions can be de-stabilised by the addition of more nitric acid and/or fuel.

摘要： @ A mooring release apparatus for incorporation in, for example, an anchor chain for quickly releasing the mooring of a vessel or offshore platform, comprises a housing (22) with a clevis (24) at one end and a shackle at the other, the housing including one or more pyrotechnic cutting torches (40, 42) arranged to cut through the shackle to release the mooring. In one embodiment, a common anchor chain link (34) is inserted between the walls of the shackle and a shackle pin (32) is inserted to secure the link to the housing. The cutting torches are disposed in the same plane as the link, and the torch nozzles (170, 170') oriented so as to sever the link on both sides of the pin when the torches are ignited, in order to release the chain therefrom.

摘要： A perforating gun in which each shaped charge (40) carried in a charge holder (12) is oriented so that the jet emanating therefrom substantially intersects the axis of the gun. The charges may be vertically spaced by a distance less than their diameter but sufficient for each charge jet to pass unobstructed by other jets emanating from the charges immediately above and below, because they are equipped with gun barrels (46). In one arrangement the charges are in three parallel rows at 120°C spacing, the barrels are stacked intersecting the centre line and the explosive containing part of the charge having a substantially greater diameter, are offset from the centre line.
