摘要： The invention discloses a bolt unit (10; 110; 210; 310) which includes a bolt housing (30; 130; 230; 330), bolt guides (14a, 14b; 114a, 114b) in the housing and a bolt (12; 112; 212) slidable between said guides so that one end (12a; 112a; 212a; 312a) of the bolt can be outside the housing characterised by a receptor (50; 150) for said one end of the bolt outside of the housing, said receptor being carried by the housing and movable therewith. The bolt unit has a first movement means (20) mounted in the housing, the first movement means being adapted to allow one end (12a; 112a; 212a; 312a) of the bolt to move in a direction between a non-holding position and a first holding position, said first holding position being outside the housing, and second movement means (20) mounted in the housing, the second movement means being adapted to allow the said one end of the bolt to move further in said direction and into a second holding position, the said one end of the bolt being engaged with the receptor in said second holding position.

摘要： The invention relates to a latch unit (10; 210) which includes a bolt (16; 116; 216; 316; 416), a housing (12; 212; 412) for the bolt, guide means (14) for the bolt in the housing, first resilient bias means (20; 120; 420) for the bolt in the housing, the first resilient bias means urging the bolt in a forwards direction towards a holding position in which an end part (22; 222) of the bolt is outside the housing, and retaining means (56, 60; 156, 160; 456, 460) for the bolt, the retaining means comprising a first part (56; 156; 456) and a second part (60; 160; 460), the retaining means having an active condition in which the first part is engaged with the second part whereby to retain the bolt against movement in the said forwards direction, characterised by a second resilient bias means (58; 458) to hold the first and second parts in the active condition. It is a particular feature of the invention the bolt has {i} a holding position in which it can engage a keeper, {ii} a non-holding position in which it is disengaged from the keeper, and {iii} a retained position in which it cannot engage the keeper and in which it is retained by the retaining means (56, 60; 156, 160; 456, 460), the non-holding position being between the holding and retained positions. There is also provided a method of operating a latch unit (10) according as herein defined.

摘要： This invention relates to a bolt housing (12), and in particular to housing (12) for a sliding bolt (20); to a pair of bolt housings (12, 14), to an assembly thereof for the securement of a first housing (12) relative to a second housing (14), and to panels fitted with one of the said housings (12, 14). Thus, there is provided a bolt housing (12) which includes a bolt (20) and bolt guide means (16, 18), the bolt (20), having a bolt tip, the bolt (20) being slidably mountable in the guide means (16, 18), the housing (12) having a surface (29) beyond which the bolt tip can project, the guide means (16, 18) being at an acute angle to the said surface (29). There is also provided a bolt assembly comprising a bolt housing (12) as defined herein, the said housing (12) being a first housing, and the said bolt guide means (16, 18) being a first bolt guide means, the assembly including a second housing (14), the second housing (14) having second bolt guide means (36, 38), the second bolt guide means (36, 38) being alignable with the first bolt guide means (16, 18), the bolt (20) being movable into and out of the second bolt guide means (36, 38) when the said first (16, 18) and second bolt guide means (36, 38) are aligned. There is additionally provided a movable panel fitted with a first housing (12) as defined herein, the panel being one of a sliding panel and a pivotting panel. Alternatively, the housings (12, 14) may be parts of a padlock.
