    摘要: Provided is a liquid crystal polyester fiber that suppresses gas generation during heating and has excellent hue. The liquid crystal polyester fiber has a total amount of carboxy end groups (total CEG amount) of 5.0 mEq/kg or less and a ketone bond amount of 0.05 mol% or less. For example, the liquid crystal polyester fiber may have a melting point of 380°C or lower. In addition, the liquid crystal polyester fiber may have a tenacity of lower than 18 cN/dtex. Moreover, the liquid crystal polyester fiber may contain a liquid crystal polyester having a structural unit derived from 4-hydroxybenzoic acid at a proportion of 50 mol% or more.
