Disclosed is an accessory device for a manual motor starter attached to one side of a body of the manual motor starter so as to perform various accessory functions, such as a forcible trip function for the manual motor starter by remotely switching the manual motor starter or a trip function for the manual motor starter when under-voltage occurs between a power source and load. A remotely switchable trip function and an under-voltage trip function are achieved by using one accessory device. The accessory device includes a case forming an outer appearance of the accessory device, an under-voltage trip coil section installed in the case and including an under-voltage trip coil generating magnetic flux depending on voltage applied thereto and a first fixed core installed adjacent to the under-voltage trip coil and magnetized by magnetic flux generated from the under-voltage trip coil, thereby generating attracting force, a remotely switchable trip coil section installed in the case and including a remotely switchable trip coil generating magnetic flux depending on remotely switchable electric source voltage applied thereto, a second fixed core generating attracting force when the second fixed core is magnetized by magnetic flux generated from the remotely switchable trip coil, and a first movable core having a rod portion extending downward and movable in a downward direction when attracting force is applied thereto from the second fixed core, an under-voltage trip power source terminal electrically connected to the under-voltage trip coil so as to apply voltage to the under-voltage trip coil, a remotely switchable trip power source terminal electrically connected to the remotely switchable trip coil so as to apply remotely switchable electric source voltage to the remotely switchable trip coil, a second movable core separated from the first fixed core in a downward direction when under-voltage is applied thereto through the under-voltage trip power source terminal and downwardly rotated pressed by the rod portion of the first movable core when voltage is applied to the remotely switchable trip coil through the remotely switchable trip power source terminal, and a lever mechanically connected to the second movable core so as to move together with the second movable core for tripping the manual motor starter.

The handle apparatus comprises: a rotary handle for controlling ON and OFF operations of the manual motor starter; an interlocking member coaxially coupled with the rotary handle to be rotated by rotation of the rotary handle, the interlocking member having a first gear for providing a driving force; a driving lever having a second gear formed at one side of the driving lever to be rotated by the driving force by the interlocking member, the driving lever having a pin slot for providing a rotational driving force; and a control lever having a sliding pin inserted in the pin slot of the driving lever, through which the rotational driving force is transferred from the driving lever to the control lever.

The present invention relates to a switching mechanism for preventing a trip error of a manual motor starter. While using the manual motor starter, even though a latch holder (4) is incompletely released from restraint by a trip lever (3) during trip operation of the switching mechanism (1), the trip lever (3) is pushed upward to allow a restrained state of the latch holder (4) to be completely released at any event. Therefore, when implementing reset operation of the switching mechanism (1), as a latch (2) is smoothly introduced between both pins (4a and 4b) of the latch holder (4) rotated by a predetermined angle, it is possible to prevent breakage of the switching mechanism (1).

A thermal overload relay comprises an actuating mechanism for generating power when an abnormal stat is occurred between a power source and an electrical load, and a switching mechanism for switching contacts on state or off state according to the power transferred from the actuating mechanism. The actuating mechanism includes a plurality of main bimetals arranged in parallel to the bottom surface of the case for being bended when the abnormal state is occurred; a plurality of heating member connected to the power source, each heating member is wound around the corresponding main bimetal for transferring heat occurred due to the abnormal state to the main bimetal; a shifter positioned to be contacted one ends of the main bimetals in parallel to the bottom surface of the case for being horizontally movable by the bending force of the main bimetals; and a lever connected to the shifter for transferring the movement force from the shifter to the switching mechanism.
