An automatic inventory management system comprises an inventory management database to store inventory information useful in the inventory management and to include description, lead time, daily consumption quantity etc. of a plurality of resources; a maximum stock factor setting module to allow user to set a maximum stock factor; a purchase quantity control module to calculate and output a suggested purchase quantity for particular resources based on factors as set in said maximum stock factor setting module and data contained in said inventory management database; and an alert module to generate an alert when the quantity of inventory of a particular resource approaches to a predetermined value, to suggest the user to purchase the particular resource. A user needs only to set the maximum stock factor and the invented system automatically calculates quantity of resource for which a purchase order should be made and the inventory management is conducted automatically.

An computer system for automatic bookkeeping comprises: a user interface, comprising a plurality of bookkeeping data editing interface allowing user to input, revise and delete useful bookkeeping data; a bookkeeping database memory comprising a plurality of bookkeeping data files to record bookkeeping data; a chart and statement generating module provided with formats and definitions of a plurality of bookkeeping related chart and statement to automatically obtain needed data from said bookkeeping database memory and to generate bookkeeping related charts and statements using the obtained data according to format and definitions of particular chart or statement; a data file connection module to automatically connect a unit of input data to related bookkeeping data files according to features of said unit of input data to generate one or more unit of bookkeeping data; and an inference module, provided with a plurality of financial inference rules, to obtain data from said bookkeeping database memory and to operate according to particular inference rules using the obtained data. Charts and statements generated by the computer system for automatic bookkeeping include: journal, ledger, income statement, balance sheet and other financial statements.

Peptides containing the sequence Ala-Lys-Pro-Arg have suppressive effects on the proliferation of a broad range of myelopoietic progenitor cells. In a preferred embodiment, the peptide has the sequence Glu-Thr-Val-Ile-Met-Lys-Ala-Lys-Pro-Arg-Ala-Asn-Phe-Pro. The peptides of the present invention are useful in the treatment of myelopoietic hyperproliferative disorders, and in protecting myeloid cells from damage induced by chemotherapy and radiation. Peptides containing the sequence Ala-Lys-Pro-Arg are also useful in the treatment of endotoxin-induced septic shock.
