The invention relates to an assemblable tube or trough which is made up of a plurality of interconnected basic units having connecting means for connecting them to each other or to another similar basic unit, either side by side or in succession, there being two different basic units (1, 2), and the basic units forming, when interconnected side by side, one half of a sector of the desired size of a toroidal surface split along its central plane, each basic unit (1, 2) forming one quarter of the sector of the toroidal surface. By using connecting means these basic units can be connected together in succession, step-wise in different positions relative to each other, to form a curve in any desired direction. The tube or trough can be used, for example, as a playground slide, a crawling tube, an assemblable miniature model, or as a ramp or tube for transferring objects by gravity.
